"If you haven't forgotten, I run this group so whatever you and your little posse is doing. I will find out about!" Derrick yells. He looks at me his beady eyes scanning me as I try and yank my arm back. The grip he has on it doesn't allow me to get it back, he pulls me by my arm close to him before grabbing the collar of my shirt gripping it tight so I couldn't move. "Don't think I don't know that you and your little group have been trying to escape, There is no where for you guys to run might as well just make yourself comfortable" He says. I growl and spit in his face before he turns away with a deep growl throwing me to the ground. He raised a fist up pulling his arm back getting ready to punch me. "Derrick wait! Wait! I got it I'll deal with her!" A girl yells as she rushes up, backing derrick off of me she grabs my hand helping me up. I didn't know the girls name but I did know she helped him kidnap us. I start to walk off after I see the talking. Derrick was the "new world's" group leader. He said he'd protect us and take care of us we didn't think we needed him but he was so convincing. We're now just stuck in his little hell hole and if I had a choice to join him or used as walker bait, walker bait is better than this.  We kept coop in a small city that was easier to take over derrick said the swat team had it blocked off and secure for survivors, but with him everything was lies. I kept walking towards the hotel where my group and I stayed. An old beat down hotel which the bottom half was used for supply holding but the fifth floor was all ours. "Hey don't think I forgot about you missy!" A soft voice says as there's a light tug on my hoodie. I turn around to see the girl from before, a long beautiful black haired girl. Wearing a ripped up white  T-shirt and jeans as well as a leather type jacket. "Oh hey, thanks for saving my ass back there" I say with a slight chuckle. "yea you're welcome but you shouldn't be talking back to derrick if it wasn't for him your group wouldn't be alive" she replies. I roll my eyes before running a hand through my hair, "just thanks...what's your name?" I ask. "jade, you can call me jade" she says with a smile. I flash a slight smile before turning back going on my way. I stopped in front of the hotel doors as I hear other people talking in the alley way about escaping as well. Guess nobody really liked it in his city but he had high security at the entrances and any exit, there's no way you could get past. I push open the door to the hotel greeted by people gather around in a circle on each side just talking, I didn't really want to know what they were talking about.  I make my way down the old hallway, the wallpaper that once covered the walls was now falling down or shredded as well as splats of blood here and there. The floor was carpet but at times you couldn't sneak around with the squeaking of it, it'd give you away for sure. I make my way down the hall to the spiral stairs, which are pretty tiring to walk up and down every especially when you're on the fifth floor but over time I got use to them. Just not the whole walking dead apocalypse thing I don't think I'll ever get use to that, I don't think anyone could get use to that. I make my way up the stone staircase my hands stuffed in my pockets as each step I take I just wanted this all to be a dream and I'd wake up in a coma. Then tell my parents about this whole situation and we'd laugh the day away, but that doesn't seem to be the case this was reality now a dark reality that I was now living in. My parents were dead and so was everyone else who meant the world to me, except a girl named savannah I had met at church, that my mom would drag me to. Savannah was now my new guardian she's the one who's helped through everything but in a dead world like this I don't think she can even help herself. I get up to the fifth floor where I was greeted by some of derricks security on ether sides of the doorway entrance. " What are you doing?" I ask.  "orders from derrick to guard this floor after night falls no one goes out or comes in" one guard said. Great now he put security by the stairway exit so now we couldn't leave. I groan before continuing my way to the room I open the door before closing it behind me. My friends sitting on the bed looking depressed, being here didn't help ether. "So what's the plan now Angel? Huh?" Adrianna says as she stands up to look at me. I shrugged not even wanting to speak I didn't have any other plans for us to go off of. "well you better come up with a new one and fast I cant take another minute in this hell hole!" Adrianna whisper yells, so the guards couldn't hear. "look I'll work on it okay I'll go out tonight and try and maybe scan the place for any escape route possible" I reply as she walks up to me her arms crossed against her chest. "I'll help you okay? just so if we get caught we get caught together" she says with a slight smile. Adrianna was my go to person when it came to causing mischief she's saved me more then once out of a sticky situation. I look behind her at the others, "Sarah, Savannah and Gema, you three are going to go look for the best supplies and where they are. Memorize the spots and come back here we are defiantly not leaving here empty handed" I say. They nod and smile as Adrianna wraps an arm around me, "alright Angels back!" she shakes me lightly. Night fell as the guards walk up and down the hall every foot step we followed, They scan the hallways making sure no one left. We all look at the window before slowly opening it so it wouldn't make a sound, I peep my head out seeing two guards walking the streets with ak's in arms, like usual. I wait for them to pass before crawling out on to the fire escape lowering the ladder quietly. I go down the ladders to the safety of the ground as Adrianna and the rest follow, we stay hidden in the shadows before our two groups split up. Adrianna and I search for ways of escape staying in the shadows we come to the exit to the city which is guarded by three snipers and four guards on the ground under the bridge where the snipers were. "This seems to be our only way out Angel," Adrianna whispers to me. "then we are going to have one hell of a hard time escaping, but I think we can do it" I whisper back with an evil grin. "With what weapons Angel?" Adrianna asks. "Don't worry I can talk to jade. One of the guards for the weapons" I say as we start walking back. "What makes you think she's going to help us?" Adrianna asks. "Because she wants to escape just as bad as we do, I over heard her conversation with her husband the other day." I say. Adrianna shakes her head and chuckles as soon as we get back we meet with our group and talk on where the best supplies were, we head up to our room making sure to pick up the ladders so no one will suspect anything, when we get up to the room I close the window behind us and lock it. Tomorrow I have a date with jade I chuckle as I lay down on the mattress that was on the floor.
