'Just right' you thought to yourself as an evil grin painted your face whilst opening the pantry door and saw exactly what you need. Baking Powder, an airlock (sandwich) bag and an entire bottle of vinegar that hadn’t been used lately.

You definitely had to get back to your boyfriend Liam for the prank he had played on you weeks back. He would just wake up at night and paint on your face, ruining your hair and causing blemishes and acne to your sensitive skin; proving what a hopeless romantic he was.

But still you both did laugh on how funny those red marks looked on your face, but Liam would just tell you how beautiful you still looked, and you’d deny. He’d kiss you, and apologize if he feels like, but things didn’t get bad or anything you both loved each other deeply.

Your right hand advanced towards the vinegar bottle as the left one let go of the handle’s grip and made it’s way to the bag followed by your fingers gripping the small can of baking soda.

It was a prank, old but still, the Classics always work out. You put the baking powder in the middle of the tissue being careful of not putting too much, wrapped them and poured the vinegar into the bag. It was all done all you had to do was to wait for Liam to come home. It’s going to be the usual welcome with a hug and deep kiss. Nothing different or special for him to have any doubt about anything, because you knew, Payne get’s his way.

the door bell of your house rang; you made your way towards the entrance before placing the vinegar bag inside the pot placing it on the dining table. Placing the baking powder pouches securely underneath the coaster so that there’s no way for him to catch you.

"Hey baby!" Liam greeted you with a warm hug as his eyes twinkled at the sight of you. You pulled from the hug and gave him a soft peck.

"How was today?"

"It was nice, nothing special you know with the tour not going on right now, things are going real easy" he said walking through the room as though checking something out, the way someone walks into a completely new place. "So, no stress and stuff, it’s nice actually"

"Good to hear love" you sad intertwining your fingers, praying he doesn’t open the pot to check what’s for dinner.

"What’s for dinner babe?" wow, exactly what you weren’t looking forward to.

You bit your lip as his hands were making their way to the dishes placed on the table top. He opened the first dish, then the second one was the one. The one you didn’t want to be opened.

"Hey! why don’t you go and change?" you said filling the distance between Liam and the table, "and I’ll get the food ready" you said smiling and opening his top collar button.

"But I thought-"

"Just go Liam!" you said turning him around and pushing him towards the staircase.

Another warm smile as he made his way up the stairs and you got your time to take the pouches and the bag out. The plan was to hide them under his clothes as he comes out BAM! the bags go, it was going to be loud and messy spoiling his clothes, like he had ruined yours. Perfect you thought to yourself as you recalled your pre-planned theory.

But that was not it.

Liam was our boyfriend. He knew every inch and meter of you.

And the fact how much you ‘loved’ surprises…

You heard the shower handle turning , signalling the shower’s now off. Liam would be out anytime soon. You quickly unzipped the bag and put the soda pouch inside it, but hey! Why one? the more the gas, the bigger the explosion, one more wont harm, and you popped another one into it.
