We had this project. We had to make comics and this is the origin story for my superhero babes. Warning I was a depressed weeb.

Akane was 6 years old when her parents died. It was February 14th and Akane and her family were celebrating her 6th birthday. They traveled all over their home planet, Nekozawaki, and saw many different places and landmarks. They stayed out for hours and hours enjoying the time they had to themselves, but soon it was time to go home. On their way home, Akanes mom pulled out a gift and handed it to Akane. ¨Happy birthday Aki. You're definitely going to love this present¨ She said as she turned and faced akane. Akane's eyes sparkled with joy as she ripped open the present. She pulled off all the wrapping paper and slowly untied the box that was left. Inside was a beautiful hand crafted doll. It had Black yarn as hair tied up into a bun with a lace ribbon tied in bow. She had blue eyes just like Akane's, but the best part about it was that the dress was made out of parts of her mother's wedding dress and inside was a voice box that had the beating of a heart. Akane listened for a while then heard her mother and father's voice. "Happy birthday Aki! We love you and we always will no matter what!" This made Akane tear up. She promised to treasure the doll and keep it safe forever. Akane held the doll close to her and fell asleep in the back seat, unknown to the fact that the breaks on the car had broken. Her mother and father teared up, knowing what was about to happen. Her mother and father used the last bit of magic to create a shield around Akane so she would be unharmed. They didn't have enough magic or time to protect themselves, and they held hands as they lost control of the car. It flew off the side of the road and rolled down the hill. The shield protected Akane and kept her safe and asleep through the whole thing, but her parents didn't make it. Akane would wake up alone. In a broken car by herself, with the doll still clutched in her tiny little hands playing the sound of her mother and father's heart beat and the sound of their voices that she will never hear again.

Years later

    Akane slowly got out of bed and got ready for her living nightmare, school. Akane hated school everyone bullied her just because she was different. She was half demon and demons used to terrorize nekos back in the old days. The only thing that keeps her alive is the doll her parents got her for her birthday. She took it everywhere she went, fearing that if she didn't have it she would go crazy. She left home and headed to school to start another day.

    As Akane was walking she thought that her bullies would finally leave her alone for a little while, but she thought wrong as she felt someone push her to the ground. Her doll had fallen out of her pocket as she hit the ground. "Well well well. Look what we have here." said the leader of the bullies, Shu, as he picked up the doll. "Aren't you a little too old to be playing with dolls" HIs girlfriend Kirai said as she snickered and smirked. "Please... Give it back...it's all i have left of them" Akane said as tears welled up in her eyes, ready to spill out and run down her cheeks. Akane reached out for it but Shu held it up higher, she tried jumping but she couldn't reach it. By now rivers of tears were already spilling out of her eyes. "Aww. the little baby is crying. Why don't you just go home to your mommy and daddy...Oh wait. You don't have any" Kirai said while cackling her evil laugh. Akane was starting to get a little mad. "Give it back now" she almost yelled as she was about to hit Shu but he pushed her back to the ground before she could do anything. He started to kick her in the stomach "You don't tell me what to do. You're to weak to boss me around." he said as he pulled out a lighter from his back pocket. "This is what happens when you don't listen." he said as he held the flame up to the doll. Akane couldn't do anything, She sat there in shock and anger. She didn't know what to do, se couldn't take it anymore. They had to pay for what the did. Akane let out a loud high pitched scream as she transformed. Her black hair turned platinum white, her eyes become almost red, her fangs grew longer, her nails got sharper and wings popped out of her back. She was beyond angry. " YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES! YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID!" she screamed as she lunged at them, they barely dodged her attack and had three long scratches on their sides. They were scared, they just created a monster, they didn't know what to do. "HELP! SOMEONE HELP US! WE ARE BEING ATTACKED!" Kirai yelled as she tried to run, but didn't get very far in the heels that she was wearing. Akane kept attacking them and scratching them until she finally came to her senses. This wasn't what she wanted. She never wanted to hurt anyone. She saw the two laying on the ground barely breathing, covered in blood, bruises and cuts. Akane freaked out and ran home. She packed a bag of all the necessary things and dashed out of her house, and into the woods. She kept running, and didn't stop. Her legs ached, her heart raced, her breathing heavy, but she didn't stop. Suddenly Akane tripped over something. She felt a sharp pain in her ankle as she tried to get up, it was swollen and throbbed with pain. Akane didn't care she had to keep moving, she got up and limped over to a clearing that she had seen. There was a stream and a cave by the edge, and a giant oak tree in the middle. It almost looked as if it had a small door carved in it. Akane set her stuff down and performed a healing spell that she had learned, on her ankle. It sent a tingly feeling up her leg as her ankle healed. Once fully healed she walked over to the tree and traced the outline of the 'door', only to find that it was indeed a door. As soon as she traced it, it disappeared and a swirl of blue and purple magic showed and formed an oval shape the size of an average person. Akane didn't know what it was so she reached out and touched it. Her hand went right through but she didn't see it on the other side. This confused her ad when she was about to pull her arm back, something grabbed it. Akane was scared, whatever grabbed her was trying to pull her through. She fought with all her strength to get away from the portal but she wasn't strong enough. She fell through the portal and landed on something, or should i say, someone. Akane had her eyes squeezed tightly, but opened them when she heard a groan come from whoever she landed on. She quickly jumped up and looked down, tears welling up in her eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to fall on you" She said while a tear rolled down her cheek. The boy got up and reached out to touch Akane but she ducked away into a corner and put her head between her knees. " Please don't hurt me. I'm sorry. Please." She said as she started shaking and crying. This concerned the boy, and he walked over to her. He bent down and hugged her "i'm not gonna hurt you don't worry. Your safe." Akane was taken aback, she expected him to yell at her and hurt her like everyone else did, but instead he hugged her. She hasn't have a real hug since her parents died, which was 10 years ago. She sat there in shock for a while then hugged back. She cried on his shoulder and he comforted her. When she was done crying He introduced himself."My name is Ayzer, i'm the prince of Nylm Lenora, but i left because there are too many responsibility." Ayzer looked at akane and smiled, "what's your name gorgeous" he said while winking at her. Akane blushed and looked down and introduced herself. She told him where she was from, what happened in her life, and why she ran away. Ayzer was very concerned for her. "I know you're probably frightened by me and want to leave, but it's ok if you want to i don't care" She said as she looked away again. "I would never leave you. Your beautiful, kind, caring, and no one should ever treat you like that." he said as he took akane's hands in his. " i swear to protect you and help you grow stronger. I will not leave your side until you're 100% safe." Ayzer stood up and pulled akane up. Come on let's explore, there are so many places and so many portals. Just pick anywhere and we can go" He said while looking into akane's eyes and holding her hands. She stared back into his eyes admiring how beautiful the blue and green looked together. She was starting to zone out, until Ayzer spoke up "You like what you see?" he said while smirking and winking. Akane blushed for the third time and looked away not answering. "So what will it be beautiful, where should our adventure start?" He asked while patting her head and rubbing her cat ears. "Let's go to Return, ive always wanted to go there as a kid." Akane said while smiling and looking up at Ayzer with her big innocent eyes. Ayzer smiled at her and scratched her ears "You're so cute, you know that? Let's grab our bags and head to the portal." Akane and ayzer grab their bags and start walking to the portal, unknow to the fact that one of the minions of the bullies was watching and listening.

    While traveling Akane taught Ayzer more magic and hand to hand combat. Ayzer tough Akane element bending and how to use a bow and arrow. The instantly became friends and possibly in the future they will become more.
