* Chris Monroe *

I walk inside the house and Chance runs up to me.

Chance: Hey lala where were you?

Me: With a friend.

I walk upstairs, and Chance follows after me. I put my stuff down and Chance sits on my bed.

Chance: So what did you do with this ¨friend ¨ of yours ?

Me: I slept over, went to the movies, mall, and went to the park. I'm be seeing that friend again later today.

Chance: But you just got home and it's 10 am

Me: I know. This friend is important.

Chance: Is it Chadrick?

Me: No not him

Chance: Ya'll need to date

Me: I'm happy with the boy i'm with

Chance: He doesn't make you as happy as Chadrick thoe

Me: That's right he makes me more happy

Chance: Tery bullshiggity

Me: Shiggity?

Chance: Yes ( shig-eh-ti)

Me: You crazy.

Chance: I know * walks out room *

I take a shower and change into some gray sweat pants, white and black minnie mouse sweatshirt, and some green neon ankle socks. I walk downstairs into the kitchen and grab me a poptart and sit in the living room watching t.v.

My dad walks in and smiles.

Me: Hey daddy

Dad: Hey babycakes. You ok?

Me: I'm fine. Just tired * lays wildly on the couch *

Dad: Ok. * walks upstairs *

I throw away my wrapper and get my caramel mocha from McD's. The door bell rings, i answer it, and Chad was standing there. I let him in and we sit on the couch

Me: Hey

Chad: Hey, i haven't seen you in a week

Me: I know sorry i was hanging with my boyfriend.

Chad: Oh, sweet.

Me: But what you need?

Chad: Just wanted to hang with you before you go do something else

Me: Well that wont be for a while

Chad: Cool. So how you been?

Me: Good and you?

Chad: I guess you could say in the middle

Me: Why?

Chad: My mom is pregnant and i'm already the oldest of 4.

Me: Aw.

Chad: I mean i'm happy but now i have a bigger responsibility, and if you think of the negatives-

Me: Why think of the negatives when you can think positive?

Chad: I mean. I can't

Me: You could have a bond with her or him

Chad: If i'm not bonding already then that one i ain't having a bond with

Me: But by the time he or she is born you'll be in college right? Depending on how many months it been

Chad: 2 weeks

Me: Oh then you'll be out the house

Chad: True. But i really wanted to ask you something?

I know it's probably to late and i'm wrong for doing this, but i really wanna ask her. I mean if i don't ask or take her who will i take, one of her friends?

Chris: Ok what is it?

Me: Would you like to go to the dance with me?

Chris: Someone already asked.

Me: Oh its iight

Chris: You can take a friend of mine. Her name is Janelle.

Great the thing i was trying to avoid. I don't want to fall in love with her best friend.

Me: Thanks for the offer but no thanks

I really tried to say it in the nicest way possible.

Chris: I understand. it's just that her crush has a girlfriend so...

I'ma tell you now i hate the word girlfriend and boyfriend. Especially when the people i like say it.

Me: Oh sorry. I would like to help her

Chris: I mean we can't drag him away from his girl.

Me: I mean i did that to you * mumbles *

Chris: Huh?

Me: Nothing. But i can still help her get him.

Chris: Ok.
