Kaylee's Point of View

The days and months following Michael's death were no where near easy.  I moved back to Nashville and ended up living with my best friend Kellie.  She has been great with trying to help my healing process, but it is me that isn't ready to allow that to happen.  I wasn't ready to accept Michael's death and begin the healing.

It has been ninety one days since Michael died and it still doesn't feel real.  I wished that it was all just a nightmare that I would soon wake up from.  But it wasn't, he was really gone and definitely not coming back.

It wasn't like the fairytales where the hero would die and soon be brought back to life by the princess he loves.

So instead, I'm living a nightmare. One that I prayed to wake up from but couldn't.

Everything in my life was falling to pieces and there was nothing I could do to save it. Not that I cared, I had nothing left to live for. I now spent my days in bed or at my barely paying job that I got at the local diner in Nashville after dropping out just before my senior year of college.

Instead of smiling and being the happy girl I used to be, I now got through my days with the help of drinks. Hard ones. Like Vodka and rum. It somehow helped to numb the pain. I only felt okay when I was drinking. It led me into a daze and caused me to lose track of all the hell that life had put me through in just the last few months.

I crawled out of bed, my head pounding from the alcohol and my heart aching from the loss. I stumbled my way into the bathroom and stepped into an ice cold shower, once again numbing all of my feelings.

After getting out of the shower and getting dressed in a pair of leggings and a long sweater with black boots, attempting to make myself look decent, I went downstairs.

Kellie was in the living room on her laptop. I quietly went into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge and dumping it into the sink. I grabbed the bottle of tequila from the fridge and poured it into the now empty bottle, making it look like water but really being the only liquid to help me make it through my long shift at work.

"Kell, I'm leaving! I'll be back tonight after my shift." I said, grabbing the tequila filled water bottle along with my phone, keys and purse.

"Have a good day! Don't hesitate to call if you need anything. I mean it!"

"Will do." I walked out the door and closed it behind me, walking down the driveway to get into my car.

Hunter's Point of View:

"Hunter, you need to come down to the studio for a meeting. It's urgent." My manager said.

I sighed heavily as I sat up in my bed, running my hand through my tousled hair. "Why now? It's almost 7:30 at night."
