Chapter 6

Today was a Monday.
I skipped college and everything too go see him.
But honestly why.
I only met him once, he probably doesn't even  remember me.

I walked though the freshly polished white doors into the hospital, the smell of anti-bacteria filled air along with a sense of worry.
Hospitals have always scared me.
In one room a new soul has enter the world and in the next room a soul has left. The content rush and overthinking tears and pain everywhere.
Knowing stargazer was in made feel sick, a pretty boy like him didn't deserve this.

Hospital ward 14.
Like mother told me. I took a deep breath and open the door and walked though.
Most of the nurse on this ward knew who I was thanks to my mum so I was allowed to walk freely. I look around trying to find my way, then I was something that made my stomach sink.

Children's cancer ward

I stood there in shook when I saw him.
To the left hand corner by the window he was there.
Knees up to his chest and his chin rested against them, and is eyes set on the sky.

I walked up to him.
My heart was sure to bounce out of my chest.
" Hi" I said so shyly, I was surprised that he heard me.
He turn around and he looked so confused.
" Do I know you". He said so polity but his voice was croaky he had dark bags under his eyes and tubs coming out of his nose.
He look so much different in the day light. So much smaller and frail.
" yeah we met up the hill one time" I told him, hoping to spark a memory. That's when his eyes lit up. He giggled
" ohhh yeah, you was the boy I caught staring at me". He joked, he had the most adorable laugh.
" yeah, I just wanted to see you again as I never got your name". I replied smiling
Well that was a lie, I did know his name but I never got to hear it from him.

That afternoon we talked for hours.
His full name is Leondre Antoine Devries, and that night he snuck out to go up the hill cause he loves the stars, he loves the way they glow,hold secrets and help you forget about stuff for a while. I could of listened to him talk all day there is so so much passion is Leo's eye it was beautiful. He also told me he was recovering from some lung cancer, what made sigh In relief, Leondre just laughed about it saying,
" I've always been a fighter"
I told him a lot about me to, I
Didn't want to come of as boring but, we had so much similarities.
It was like a friend ship written in the sky.

I was going to get his number.
But that's when I had to leave.
" bye Leondre, it was nice seeing you again". I said getting up from my place on the bed I rested my self on. I moved a bit of hair out of is face and look into
his deep brown eyes. I didn't know when I was going to see him again.
But I left.
I was tearing up, it's crazy how someone can have such a big impact on you.
Like a ocean wave crashing against the land.

I was almost out of the ward when a small body embraced me in a hug.
" please come see me again Charlie"
Little Leo was crying.
I promised.
Are pinky fingers intertwined.

This was definitely worth skipping college.
