DEMI'S POV

Before She Left

I browse through the pile of paper in my hand as the corners of my mouth lift up high. I have never felt as happy as now. I have finally made a good idea for a story I intend to finish maybe soon. It has been a journey of almost three months now. I just need the opinion of the others to continue writing it.

Oh my goodness, I should make a RP out of this! The others would love it and I would get more inspiration!

I run down the stairs and almost stumble which makes me bump into Myrthe who frowns at me confused. I pull her with me to the living room and put her down next to the others on the couch. As everybody looks at me like I am nuts (which I am) I put the pile of paper down.

''So would you guys join this as a RP? I think it would be lovely!''

The others just agreed with a shrug (ah, my friends) and made up characters for their own. And so we started the RP like I planned to first. It was good.

About two hours later

''Wait, that doesn't make any sense. Maybe we shouldn't do that.'' I answer as I find a sudden confusion in the story from the others. I stand up and read my idea through. I frown. ''It just doesn't fit with the story.''

''Well we don't know what to do,'' Yfke answers. ''Tell us the story and what we have to do.''

I sigh and hand Yfke the papers in my hand for her to read. She grabs it roughly from my hands and scans all the words.

''I still don't get it. Why can't the Death Faction go to the real world? That's bullshit. I'm bored.''

I face away from her and stare out of the window. I can't answer her. I mean, what can I say?

''Oh, maybe we can make our own version of it?'' Margot suggests from the armchair. ''Like, maybe we will understand it better that way.''

''Somebody gets it,'' Yfke responds. ''Let's do that.''

I have remained silent but I watch all of them as they nod with Margot and Yfke. I sigh. It's them against only me so even though if I speak against I will not have any chance. I cross my arms and mentally roll my eyes. They want to use my idea and...change it? And apparently they have already decided that they are doing that without my permission. But again, they are with more and I am alone.

''Y-Yeah, fine. Do whatever you want.'' I reply but twirl around and pace out of the room. My heart is beating in my chest. Three months of work have gone up in flames, or at least they have changed. Three months of my own work have just been wiped out of my hands and turned into a...fanfiction? But what will a fanfiction be if the story doesn't exist anymore? I close the door behind me.

After a minute or so I am standing in the hallway, listening to the laughing and giggling sounds coming from the living room from roleplaying, as suddenly the door opens and Nadine walks up to me. She looks at me sadly.

''Are you okay?'' she asks. I look at myself. I didn't even notice I was shaking. Of anger, sadness, fear? I don't know.

''Yeah. Well...no,'' I reply. ''Not really.''

''Tell me what's up.'' Nadine says and I sigh. Nadine is one of the only people who really knows what's up in my head. She is the only sister who gets it, at least that is what she shows me.

''I am just feeling really uncomfortable about this. About hearing the giggles and laughs and the terms I used in my story in the other room while I am standing here, listening to each part of it to be turned into something...I don't know,'' I finally breathe out after that. That was a mouth full. ''I just don't want them to use it.''
