It was four years ago when I first saw him. His piercing green eyes, his gorgeous dirty blonde hair... He was so cute. But there was a problem, I was in sixth grade at the time, and he was in eighth grade, plus he had a girlfriend. So to put it that way, there was no way I could have approached him or even had talked to him. When I finally had gotten to ninth grade, he was gone. He moved. It broke my heart, but I had to move on. So now here I am in my first day of being a sophomore, I've completely gotten over him. Or so I thought."I think I wanna try out for the cheer team this year," I told my friends. I always wanted to try out for it, but I was afraid of being stereotyped.
"Esperanza, honey, do you even know how to do a cartwheel?" My friend Jess said as she was re-applying her bright red lipstick. Jess is that girl you have in your school that try's to get with guys 24/7. The girl who hits on every guy she sees. But she's a good person! I swear. She gets judged a lot when people find out about her.
"Jess, I couldn't do a cartwheel when I first started cheerleading, so Esperanza will be fine," Katherine, my other friend said.
"Yeah, but like, you were like in seventh grade so that like doesn't count,"
"Stop saying like so much," Kat said
"I can't like, help it though, like it just comes naturally like, like, like, like, LIKE ya know?"
"Fuck you jess!" Kat screamed at her and tugged at her hair. I rolled my eyes and left the bathroom. Saying like constantly is one of Kat's pet peeves.
I hummed a time as I walked down the hallway, thinking about what today will bring. I saw a large group of people surrounding a tall person, I was curious so I went to check it out.
As I neared, I smelled a familiar scent... It smelled SO good like flowers, vanilla with a hint of old spice- I froze.
That was the smell of Cameron
He was back.
My first so called "love" was back.
I heard whispers and that brought me back down to earth. Nah, Cameron can't be back that's impossible. I smiled and turned around. Only to come face to face with a stomach. I looked up, and my shit stained brown eyes widened. I was frozen, I couldn't move. He was back and even more hotter than before.
"Move," He grunted as he pushed my 4'10 body aside, hitting my back against the lockers. He didn't even look back to see if I was alright. My eyes were still wide open. I couldn't believe I just saw him again.
Cameron was back.
