"Ok, but like, what if we became famous?" Keila had said, her speech slurred due to the tiny amount of vodka. After seeing a girl group on tv, Keila didn't think it was all that impossible, although she did feel childish for saying the idea. It felt like when she was younger, always shot down for her ideas in music, all the possibilities that could happen if she tried enough. Throughout her entire life, the answer was always no when it cal to music. It wasn't entirely cut out from her life, but it wasn't necessarily accepted either. It was just.... there to her parents. Yeah, they let her, but it was forbidden to be anything more than a hobby. A phase, if you will.
But it wasn't and Keila knew that. She knew that with every fiber in her being since birth. She knew that music was more than that. It was like her first boyfriend: no matter how hard you tried to move onto something else, it'll always be there.
The moderately sized bedroom that was alive and pulsing with energy just seconds before was now dead silent, the air a stark contrast to what it had been.
"What? That's crazy!" Miniah had told her.
"No it's not! I mean think about it. It's not that impossible. We've been working forever on this! We're insanely talented, we can sing, dance and a little bit of rapping. I don't see the issue!" Keila had exclaimed.
"I can dance. You can't." Miniah had said as a reply, dismissing the suggestion Keila purposes entirely.
"But Minni-ah," Keila slurred. "I've been dreaming about this for 10 years now. I wanna make it happen!"
It was true ever since she saw her first celebrity on tv, she always wanted to be famous.
"It doesn't sound like too bad an idea. I mean we could make it work if we just pull some strings together." Aly had suggested with a small shrug.
Miniah frowned just a little bit and dismissed the conversation with a shrug.
"I don't know. That's just not what I wanna do," Miniah disagreed with her.
"You only wanna do what your parents want you to. That's not what you wanna do you know that." Keila answered.
Miniah gave her a small frown.
"I'm not entirely sure.""Ok well I'm gonna get more apple juice. Do y'all want somethin'?" Vivi asked.
"Yeah a water please." Keila said, now trying to die down her slight buzz she acquired. She didn't like the feeling of being drunk, the slurred speak so no one understood her like she was speaking a different language, the slight dizziness that made her feel like she was gonna fall nor did she like the hangover it gave the next morning.
With that, Vivi walked out of the room, and the sleepover occurred like nothing ever happened.
