Chapter 23.

August

"I'm her husband y'all can't keep her body away from me!" I yelled at the doctors.

They said that they can't show me her body even though I'm her husband. They won't let me do anything. I sat down on the chair and put my hands over my face. I started to cry. I can't believe after all of this I really lost Kris.

"What you so sad about August?" I heard Kris's voice. I looked up and saw her standing over me smiling.

I jumped out the chair and hugged like I would never see her again.

"I thought I really lost you this time." I said and kissed her. Once I let go of her she didn't trip over the kiss and just kept smiling.

"It's okay August I'm right here. Now where my kids at?" She said looking around.

"At home. Kayla watching them." I said waiting for her reaction.

"Kayla? August is you alright?" She said slightly laughing and feeling on me head.

"I'm Ight Kris. I don't know what I'd do without you." I looked her in her eyes and gave her a hug.
