How long have you been writing?
2-3 years
What inspired you to write?
In 2010 I won a national junior writing competition by writing an essay on patriotism and what it means to me. it felt great to know that my writing skills were valued by somebody, so I continued to write. Also, my mother, who used to write teen fiction, used to keep a journal full of stories she wrote and I really enjoy reading some of them.
What's your favorite topic to write about?
I enjoy writing about one's thoughts and feelings. One time I attempted to write a whole book that was formatted like a diary. It never really developed fully...
What is your favorite topic to read?
I really like reading about skinny love. It's such an innocent theory and it makes me cry for some reason.
What's your most read story?
"Number Seven" with 3k reads.
How did you get so many reads?
To me, I haven't achieved that many reads, nut for the reads I have, I got them by putting myself out there. I volunteer to help people in return for a dedication or a vote.
Any advice to new writers?
Write something original. It might not be recognized for some time, but sooner or later the right person will come across your writing and recommend your stories. Also, never be afraid to write something down. I have a journal I keep with me at all times to write down little ideas for my current books or future books. No idea is a bad idea. Even if you don't get the reads for a while, in the end all your hard work will pay off.
