Dying and Living For Someone

I think a lot of people like to say they'd die for someone, but they don't look at the actual idea of dying for someone. If you die, you give up every relationship you've ever had, to give up seeing your friends and family, and giving up who you were for one person. And that person only. For some people, like me, dying for someone is easy, but rare. Because we don't have family. We don't really love a lot of people. But when we do find someone we love, and we delve into it whole-heartedly, we mean it when we say we'd die for someone.

But what's more courageous than dying for someone? Living for someone. To go on living knowing that if the person dies, for whatever reason, you'd never be the same. To live for someone who died, not knowing if they're proud of you or not. To go on, to try to move on like you're not hurting. Sure, Romeo and Juliet died for each other, but theyre always gonna be together, now they're both dead. What wouldve happened if Juliet stayed alive for Romeo? Now that's true courage. That's real to me.
