The TEEN Detectives

Chapter 2

I squeeze my dress to drain out the water and then the the passenger seat.

I feel the water cool on me due to the Air conditioner. I quickly turn it off.

He squints his eyes at me with the look "What the fuck is wrong with you".

It is them I observed that he was with his thick blazer. I just ignored.

"Are you feeling cold?", he asks.

I don't bother to answer. I just stick on to giving him directions.

A second later, his blazer landed on my lap.

"You can drape it over you, you would feel warmer".

"No thanks" I replied curtly.

He looked formal and I dint bother checking hin out.

"Here, just stop over here", I screamed.

He pulled the brakes and I hopped out of the car, threw the blazer on the seat.

"Thanks for the ride"

I slammed the door and walked swiftly to my house, unlocked the doors and rushed to my room for a quick shower.

I pulled on my night pyjamas and a baggy shirt and jumped on my bed for a good nap.

I wake up to the buzz of my phone. Searching for it under my sheets it stops buzzing. It's Daze. She left me a voice mail.

"Hey Lyn. Join us for dinner tonight at 6pm. Theo is going to be here. Yayy!! Come in formals. Get your clothes for the sleepover".

Theo is Daze's crush and surprisingly he also has a crush on her. They make a cute pair. I'm on my toes to get them in a relationship. Fortunately or unfortunately Theo is her brother's close detective friend. He just finished his detective training and hoping to join her brother in his future expeditions.

Assuming it to be a welcome dinner for her brother, I quickly sent Herby a message to drop me off at Daze's house by 6pm and informed him about the sleepover.

He never had a problem with me meeting  up with Daze as he knew her well.

I searched for a nice formal through my cupboard. I picked up the royal blue dress lined with white lace which Daze gifted on my birthday last year.

I did my hair and put on some light makeup. I took the backpack with the clothes and other personal accessories for the sleepover. Checking on my phone, it's 5:50 pm. I ran downstairs to find Herby waiting for me in the living room.

I followed him to the car and he drove me to Daze's place.

"Enjoy the dinner. Stay safe." He finally said when I hopped out of the car.

"Yes" I replied closing the door.

I walked slowly to her house and rang the doorbell.

The door opened with a tall figure staring right into my eyes.

"YOU!", he screamed.

"YOU!", I too screamed simultaneously.

I was shocked recognising the tall figure.
