Life in pieces on the floor

Eggs. I smell eggs.

I walk into the living room and plop onto the couch. I knew it wasn't very ladylike but I couldn't help it, football is hard when you forget your kleats and the ball hits you in the stomach and you are bad at kicking. Now, it wasn't American football or anything as rough as that but I was famished! "Dad? Where's Mum?" I call to the kitchen. "In the study. Why?" He calls back. "I don't know...." I get up and walk into the kitchen. Dad was cooking eggs. He attepts to flip the eggs on the frying pan, but he ends up just throwing them all on the floor. I burst out laughing and Mum walks into the kitchen, a confused expression on her face. My older sister Lila comes in, an annoyed expression on her face. She was a year older than me, and had already turned 12, which had sent her to a strange magic school a year ago. This year was going to be her second year there. She called people with "no magical abilities whatsoever" muggles. It was strange, she always wore robes around the house that had a badger in a yellow crest. I didn't know what it ment though. Mum and Dad were always so proud of her for making something called a "Huffelpuff". I hear the doorman knock on the door. "Oh! Put it in the slot please!" Lila calls. "Yes M'aim!" The mailman calls back. "Lilly, dear, can you go get the post?" Mum asks and I nod. I go pick up the post off the ground and look through it to see if anything was for me. I see an envelope addressed to me.

They were both sealed with a crest that had the picture of a bird, a lion, a snake, and a....... badger! Was this a letter to me for the same school that Lila goes to? "Love! Where's the post?" Mum calls. "Oh! Right here! Both me and Lila got something."
"My Hogwarts letter!" Lila cries. She runs in and snatches the letter addressed to her out of my hands. She spots my letter and smiles. "Mum! Lilly got accepted!" She squeals. Mum and Dad run in and look at my letter.
"Well," Mum says. "We'll have to go to Diagon Ally. Lila, do you want to go to the Weasley's house for the rest of the summer? You can buy your things with them."
"Travel by floo powder?" Lila asks excitedly.
"Could I go with her? I am friends with Ginny after all." I plead. "Okay dear, but Lila will have to tell you how to use floo powder. Wil you do that Lila?"
"Yes Mum." Lila leads me to the fireplace and takes some ashes from the pot next to it. She puts the ashes into my hand and leads me into the fireplace. "Okay, you are going to say where we are going, which is the Weasley's house, and then you are going to throw the floo powder, the stuff in your hand, into the fireplace below you and you with appear in the Weasley's house." She smiles and steps back. "The Weasley's house!" I say and I throw the "floo powder" into the fireplace below me. I am suddenly engulfed in green flames, and I am in the Weasley's house. "Percy was that the chimney?!" A voice yells from the kitchen. "I'll go see!" A voice yells back and Percy is suddenly standing before me. "Ah, Lilly, are you coming to stay? And where is Lila?"
"Well, yes, I am coming to stay, I have a letter for school, and Lila is on her way." I step out of the fireplace and check for burns. Suddenly Lila appears in the chimney. "Percy! Hello." She says. Ginny appears and her eyes fill with glee. "Lila! Hello! How are you? I haven't seen you all school year and all summer!" She hugs Lila.
"Come on," Percy smiles. "We have a special guest."
