A boy, covered in blood, sits alone sobbing in the wrecked room that was once his living room, he worries for his sister. She had gone to a swimming relay. He worries for his mother, who had gone with her. He worries for his little brother, he didn't know where he was, and couldn't work up the effort to look. He worries for his friends, who were supposed to be coming over, but he didn't know if they had made it. He didn't know if any of his loved ones made it to their targeted destination. Not anymore.

He grabbed the phone quicker than intended, sending a jolt of pain up his shoulder, reminding him of the injury that he had received only ten minutes ago. When everything turned to hell.
