Shirley was making about 30 cents an hour as a bartender. Of course, it wasn't her dream job, but it was good enough. Her entire life she had wanted to become a famous singer! Live in Hollywood, and instead of working on the famous Brilliance Ship, she would be a guest.
"Hey, can I get a shot of the cheapest whiskey you got." The man sat down.
"Yea sure, how has your day been sir?" Shirley got out a shot glass and the whiskey.
"Well, it wasn't one of my bests to be honest," the man quickly drank his whiskey, " this war is really starting to get me angry. Oh by the way, my name is Kenneth Byron."
"Shirley Darlington, and yea, the war is pretty terrible. But at least we can escape it for a while and enjoy the cruise, right!" Shirley joked.
Kenneth let out a small laugh, and whispered something under his breath. "Yea, at least we got the cruise." He threw his money on the counter. " Keep the change, and have a good night."
"Thanks! And you too!" Shirley watched Kenneth walk out of the bar. How come all guest cant be like that. Just get a quick drink, chat for a bit, and then leave. Shirley thought, looking around the bar at all the loud drunk guests.
"Hey! Get me the most expensive martini you got! And shots all around on me!" A drunk man shouted, followed by everyone else cheering. She rolled her eyes.
"You got it sir."

"Everyone! The American people have come together many times to defeat great enemies. And we need them again, to defeat Hitler and his army. We have gone over our plans many times. And one we reach New Orleans, those plans will be put into action. So, thank you everyone for your hard work! Cheers!"
"Cheers!" All the guest followed. William and Irene Alby both kissed and hugged at the end of the speech. William was the CEO of Americas Flight, a big manufacturing company creating airplanes to use in the war. William wasn't surprised he was invited on the Brilliance Cruise, after all, he is one of the richest people in America.
Irene worked in newspaper. She basically controls the media, and what gets put out there at what doesn't. She's a sweet, kind person, but anyone who crosses her, will get their reputation ruined by a fake story.
"Honey, I can feel the end of the war coming soon!" William smiled at Irene. " And once the world is safe, we can finally have a beautiful baby! Oh I can see it all so clearly! Your emerald green eyes, my dark brown hair! All of our smarts put together, our baby will be a genius!"
"I agree! Once the war ends, all will be well!" Irene cheered.
Everyone shouted and laughed joyfully.
"Oh would you look at the time! Thank you all for coming to this meeting, I hope the rest will be as great as this one! Please make your way to your room and have a great night!"
---------------------------
Irene and William walked back to their room talking about the meeting.
"Oh wait, before we go back to the room I want to show you something." Irene grabbed Williams arm and ran before he could say anything. She ran down many stairs all the way to the bottom of the ship.
"Why are we all the way down here? This is where all the workers live!" William protested.
"I know, I know. But look, I found this yesterday!" She pulled back a curtain, to reveal a small window. "Look, sea creatures!"
Irene looked out the window looking at all the fish and giggled. "Its the only place on the ship that I've found where you can see below the sea!"
"Hmm pretty cool! I'm sure there's more windows like this, in a cleaner place too." William looked around at all the dirt and filth.
