Chapter 2 - I seriously doubt "family love" is in my sister's mind

I BLACKED OUT.

        I wake up to see my ceiling staring at me with the intentness of staying white though posters covered my room. My hand quickly finds itself to my lips wondering if it was real or not. Although knowing that it was a dream but, there's always that one thought; 'Or was it' ?

        My eyes gradually move over to my right. I see my sister snuggling up against me! She started to awake from her seemingly long slumber. She looks at me and smiles.

        "Did you sleep well Noah? Because, I sure did!"

        As she was talking she moved her hand to the inside of my thigh and was starting to move it up slowly. I saw that, devious look in her eyes and suddenly knew. She wasn't joking.

        I quickly move my hand to intercept hers before it reaches it's final destination. I was as red as red could be.

        "Eva w-we c-can't do this! You know that we a-are b-brother and s-sister!"

        "Come on Lil Bro you know I was kidding" Eva said.

        She removes her hand from my leg and whispers into my ear "Or was I"?

        My alarm goes off blasting some sort of rap music out loud. Eva stands up from her positioning and walks out of my room, closes the door while quietly whispering "Next time I won't be joking". After she closed the door, I let out a breath that was held in for far too long. I looked over to see that my clock displayed the time 7:30 A.M. Since school starts at 9 A.M. today and not 8 A.M. I didn't freak out. I started to get dressed so, that I could hurry down and get breakfast before my sister ate it all.

        I quickly find my uniform a black suit with the school symbol over my heart and lay it on my bed. After some thinking I lay a red tie next to it, obviously to spice things up. Shower, comb my hair, get dressed, etc, etc, grab my backpack, put my backpack in my mobile inventory and head down stairs. To clear things up on the Mobile Inventory; It is a small spherical object that stores any item in different dimensions. It has a cloaking capability so that it doesn't become an eye sore and hovers behind you where ever you go. Also it has voice commands and has an A.I. so it can talk back to you. Though mine (Eve) seems to hate every thing and doesn't talk but, only talks to me. It is really cool. Any ways, back to the great/hellish life of me. I put my backpack into Eve after turning her on and hearing her greet me with the usual unsatisfied "Hello again" and head to the kitchen. 

        Once I hit the bottom of the stairs to get breakfast, I see two pieces of toast laying on the table with my name on a slip of paper laying on one of the pieces. I grab that piece knowing that the other piece is for Eva and scarf it down. I started to walk to the door but, was spun around and suddenly kissed on the lips! It was the kind of kiss that left you thinking 'What the hell?!'. I quickly pushed away and saw the deviant eyes of my sister staring at me with the intent of doing much more than kissing. I push her away, run to the door, open it, and slam it behind me right when I got through. Hoping that my M.I got through I called out "Hey eve you here"?

        Eve replied in her monotone robotic voice "Yes Noah but, I wish I wasn't here, but your here so, I guess that makes it okay".

        "Okay cool, still got my backpack right"?

        "Yea somehow I still have it. Want it?"

        "No, I was just wondering".

        "Ugh. Your gonna make a weak girl like me carry it around"?

        "Eve...Your a fucking M.I.".

        "I know, I know I was trying to role-play, god have a fucking heart why don't you"?

        I ignore Eve and looked around to see my greatest friend leaning on a lamppost quietly listening in on our conversation. I quickly jog over.

        "Hey Riley how's it going" I asked.

        "Pretty good. For you that is. Those pink lipstick marks tell the whole story" Riley said.

        I feel my face heating up so I ask Eve for my scarf. It pops out of nowhere into my hands. It is from my deceased grandmother. In her last words she said to me "Always have this with you, it will you safe".

        "Man, Noah your M.I. is so cool will you give her to me?" Riley asked.

        "No" I replied.

        "But, why not Noah?" she said.

        "First she will not talk to you, second she is mine, and third she is mine".

        "You said "she is mine twice"".

        "Don't sweat the small stuff. Anyways let's head to the bus stop."

        Riley tried to get me to give her Eve for the whole walk to the Bus because, she didn't have one yet but, I held strong. Once we got to the stop she saw her 'girl friends' and went to talk to them. That helped a little until Chimp spotted me. He ran over and tried to tackle me though he missed and slid across the grass next to the sidewalk.

        Once he got up he said "I did that on purpose". That made everyone laugh at him. Even myself!

        He walked over and slugged my arm playfully and said "You ready for the competition today?".

        "Fuck no" I replied.

        The competition is a fighting clash between schools that show up every year and most of the schools partake in it. The schools have brackets within them so that they can get the best of their students out of it, then they have the best from the schools fight. Never before had a Human student made it into the finals in the bracket because, elves would use mind controlling magic to make them quit or they were overpowered by the war-beasts but, today felt different.

        The bus pulled into the stop and we all got on. Surprisingly my sister got into the same seat I had. Her voice was in my head. Hey bro, this is your sister obviously. As you can see I linked to you last night after you fell asleep.

        "Oooookaaaaay you better explain this to me Eva. Now." I demanded.

        "Ok, Ok you don't have to tear my head off". She replied.

        "Since we are usually on the same team I thought it would be better to link our minds together so that we I would be able to heal you from afar and not have to be so close to you"  Eva explained.

        "It seems to be a logical reason Eva but, I know you better than that. You obviously had more than one reason for doing that."

        She leaned in close to me and quietly whispered into my ear. "I guess I can tell you later since it seems everyone wants to know". 

        At that instant I soon realized that everyone on the bus was eavesdropping on our conversation. I blushed remembering that Linking minds together, is something that is very rare for people who are part of family because, you have to get so intimate to the person you are going to link with. We didn't speak at all for the rest of the ride.

        When the bus arrived I saw just how many schools were partaking in this year's fight competition. More than 12 schools had shown to the fight! The look of astonishment on everyones's face was insane! Though for some unknown reason I felt fine.

        The bus pulled into the parking spot and I get off, ready for the fight that lies before myself.
