9. Nine Days 💔

Sitting across the dim light street
Taken aback by all of it.
The wind that once blew my hair well
Today blew dried Tears, staining its trail.

A vision of it again last time
The only day that meant my best sunshine;
Right in front of my eyes,
We again shared the same ice-cream.

You picked me up to tease me though
I promised myself I'd never let you go.
Your arms, faded smiles
And whispers  replaced by my screams.

The same You, the same me,
The same date, the same place;
Your same black T-shirt
And my yellow flaunting dress.

Nothing was repeated
But lied vision & memories says,
It's been two years
That still feels like nine days.

Now I'm here tryna gather
All the wind blown feather

Noticed all my pieces,
shattered on the way
The pieces you walked on,
when you chose to walk away.

Still here with welled up eyes
Hoping with the roses you'd arrive;
Yet I'm watching out ways....
Though you have long gone,
It still feels like nine days.

By now they should have dried up
But the wound yet bleed fresh.
Oh it's been so long
But it still feels like nine days.  -R
