Why me?!

I'm Taylor Rose, or something like that anyway. To be honest I don't really care what you call me, if you bother to even call me anything at all. Because I really don't give a crap. I'm me. That's all there is too it. Just a 17 year old girl who nobody knows, cares, or wants in their selfish, insignificant life. Not even my family wants me, whoever they are.

All I have in this life is me, myself and I. And I intend to keep it that way, because no matter what you can always rely yourself. Especially when it comes to killing.

Yep, killing. It's what I do best. It's the only thing I can do, and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. Because I'm an assassin. Well, kind of. Im different to the usual assassins because I don't have a master, or anyone else for that matter. I'm a rogue assassin known as Shadow, because... to be honest I have no clue. The name just came about one day. But it's a pretty cool name none the less.

No one knows my real identity because I wear a hood all the time. Which, by the way, gets extremely hot. Especially in the summertime like it is now. Now that I think about it the hood is probably my best bet at why I have no friends. Because nobody sees a stranger walking down the road with a hood on, dressed in all black, and think that person looks super friendly, I'm going to go say hi. And even if that weird person did come to say hi, I would probably attack and/or kill them.

I'm not a people person.

Why the streets are so crowded at this time of night is beyond me. Maybe shopping at night is a new trend? Why? I have no clue. I only go out at night because it's supposed to be easier to hide. I can't do anything if there are people everywhere! Nobody likes a snitch.

Maybe I'll go down an alleyway, yea that's the best idea I've had all night. So I turn off the main road at the next left turn, an alley covered in vines. Perfect.

What I see down there was not what I expected.
