It's a Friday night and I am finally relaxed. I sink down into my favorite sofa to do my usual routine after my classes, which always concludes by me writing in my journal. My therapist, Dr. Glin, told me to add it into my schedule to relieve some stress. He told me that by living alone and having nobody to vent to could be harmful to my mental health, so by writing, I can let some of the stress set free. It has been working for the last week that he had suggested it too, which was a huge plus. I don't have to worry about another person's opinion about my day either, which adds a plus two. As my mother always said, "opinions are like farts, we all have em' , but some are worse than others." She's always being goofy, but that's just my ma for you.
My journal entry for today was short but subtle:

" Today was an easy day. People did not talk to me much, except for Alyssa who complemented me on my ginger hair again. I wonder if I should start complementing her too? "

Alyssa is the sweetest little girl. My co-worker, Valerie, is her mother. I believe she is about six years old now. She's very smart for how young she seems, but on the other hand, her mother is a very intelligent lady too.

I wonder how tomorrow's entry will go.
