Serena's POV:

"B-Bonnie..." My lip started to quiver. I missed her so much, just like I missed Ash.

"Serena!!" Bonnie ran into me and gave my a huge hug, she started to cry. "It's okay!" I smiled, giving out a tiny laugh.

Bonnie wiped her tears. "Hmph! 9 year olds should not be crying like babies!"

I laughed. "So? What are you doing in Alola?" I asked. "There was an invention contest here and Clemont wanted to enter." Bonnie replied.

"Of course..." I sighed.

"So! Why were you crying?" Bonnie asked, grabbing my hand.

"I...ummm...well-"

"Is it Ash? You miss your boyfriend?" Bonnie smirked. "IT'S NOT LIKE THAT AND YOU KNOW IT!!" I yelled.

"Sure..." Bonnie rolled her eyes.

"Cutie Pie!!" Lillie yelled and wrapped Bonnie into her arms.

"Who's that kid?" Misty scoffed.

"That's Bonnie. She traveled with Ash and I through Kalos. Also with her brother, Clemont." I pointed to Clemont, who was talking to Ash.

She scoffed again. "First you and that white headed freak ruined my date with Ash, then your immature, silly friends burst into our meal, and now Ash is not talking to me! That's so not right!!"

"Calm down. It's not like he's gonna leave you." I said.

I wish he left you!

Misty turned her back to me.

"Whatever!" I began walking over to Lillie and Bonnie.

"Hey! Serena! Get over here! I challenge you to a Pokemon battle, you coward!"

A battle?! Now?!

I turned around. "Bring it on."

I took a step onto the battlefield. The hot sun was beating on my back. I could hear Ash, Bonnie, and Lillie talking in the background.

Clemont stepped onto the battlefield. "This will be a one-on-one battle. When one side is unable to battle, the battle is over. Now, select your Pokemon."

I was going to use Populio.

"Poliomade I choose you!" Misty yelled and threw out her Pokeball.

Poliomade...that was the evolution of Populio.

"What are you waiting for?" Misty scoffed. "Hurry up!"

"Populio! Use bubble!" I ordered.

Populio ran and shot bubbles everywhere. Even at Poliomade.

"Poliomade dodge! And use Water gun!" Poliomade moved at the speed of light and shot Populio with a big water fun like she was an ant.

"Populio!" I cried.

"So weak!" Misty laughed.

"C'mon Serena!" Bonnie yelled, jumping up and down.

Populio shakily stood up. "N-Now use water gun!" I yelled. There were no other attacks that would be effective on Poliomade, and I didn't have any other Pokemon...

Populio shot a speedy water gun at Poliomade, but it dodged.

"Now! Use Dazzling Gleam!" Misty screamed, grinning.

Dazzling Gleam?!

Before I could blink, Populio flew my direction.

"Populio!!" I cried.

Clemont ran to the battlefield. "Populio is unable to battle!! Which means Misty and Poliomade are the winners!"

"Wow..." Misty smirked.

I picked up Populio "Populio return." I whispered.

I should've trained when I had the chance.

"Pathetic." Misty walked over to me.

My eyes filled up.

I stood and ran.

I ran like I never did before.

"SERENA!!" I heard Ash.

I just kept on running.
