First Day-Not What We Were Expecting!

Harry's POV

Ron and I were talking out in the courtyard when I noticed two people, a blonde girl and a black haired boy. "Ron? Who are they?" I asked, the blonde glanced over at us and whispered to her friend.

"I don't know." Ron replied, I began moving towards them Ron following close behind. "H-Harry!" I walked up to the pair and smiled.

"Hello I'm Harry Potter this is my friend Ron! Who must you be?" The blonde bit her lip and nodded to her friend.

"I'm Nathan and this is Samantha, but our friends call us Nate and Sammy." The male said, Sammy smiled, obviously she was being a little shy. "Sammy? Come on this isn't like you?"

"H-Hi I'm S-Sammy! Oh wait...uh...we are freshman this year!" She said. I chuckled.

"Same here. D'you wanna come to Hagrid's with us?" Ron asked, they both smiled.

"Yah!" They said happily. We all ran down the hill to a small hut, I knocked at the door a dog growling from the inside.

"Oh Fang be quiet!" The door opened to see Hagrid's hairy face, he had a big smile as we walked in. "Hello Harry, who'r yer friends?"

"This is Ron, Nate, and Sammy," I said, Sammy ran up to the dog and began patting and hugging him.

"Good boy good boy!" She said happily, the dog rolled over letting her rub his belly.

"Wow, Fang really likes ye huh." Hagrid's chuckled. "So yer the muggle borns?"

"Yah, either that or our parents were squibs but nah, that can't be." Nate explained, "hey I hope you all get the house you want! I want to be in Hufflepuff!" Sammy nodded.

"Same." Ron laughed.

"Hufflepuff! Oh that's a good joke!" When the two wasn't laughing he frowned. "Oh! Er....I mean...good luck with that?" Hagrid shook his head as I pinched my nose.

"We better get going the feast will be starting soon. Let's go!" We all races up to the great hall, we all huddled together.

Nate's POV
"Hey, I'll catch up with ya. I gotta go feed my owl Jerel. Meet ya in the great hall." I aid as I sprinted up the corridor. Sammy followed. "Good idea Nate!" We ran through the hallways to where our luggage was being held. After feeding our owls we raced back to the great hall. "Haha, I win, obviously I'm faster than you Sammy" I gloated.
"Ya ya ya. Whatever haha."
We stood next to Harry and Ron. "Shhh, there sorting us into houses" Harry whispered.
After Harry and Ron were sorted (we all know there houses) my name was called. I sat on a stool as my head was covered with a worn out hat. The hat spoke "ahh, Nathan. Where can I put you....."
I whispered Hufflepuff multiple times under my breath. For it is my favorite house. "How about.....Slitherin!"  
The smile fell from my face. "Wait" sammy's voice came in. "He belongs in Hufflepuff. He can't be a slitherin."    The hat replied. "Well alllllright, Hufflepuff!"
I burst into excitement. I probably thanked Sammy like 10000 times before I sat down at the table. It was now sammy's turn to be sorted....

Sammy's POV

Nervously is at on the stool, Nate was mouthing at me 'you'll be fine' but I didn't think. The hat mumbled a bunch of stuff as it fell over my eyes before calling out Slytherin. "No!" I gasped tears fell from my eyes as I began shaking with fear.

"No! She is defiantly a Hufflepuff Iv known her for years!" Nate yelled.

"What don't want to separate from her? You got your house she gets this one." The hat yelled, I slumped to the Slytherin sitting down.

"Sup. Samantha right?" A bleach blonde boy said, Draco Malfoy.

"Sammy." I mumbled.

"Don't worry a thing this is obviously the best house. I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy."

"Great." He gave me a charming smile he's trying his best to be my friend. I gave him a genuine smile, "I'm not worried." We were shown to our dormitories. I was with two girls I didn't know and they had no intent to know me.

I climbed in bed and stared at April. She squawked at me obviously fed up of being trapped in a cage. "April I'll let you out to send Nate and letter tomorrow for now let's get some sleep.

I slumped into my first class, potions with professor Snape. I was in Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Nate's class. I sat next to Nate and sighed. "Sammy...I don't know what happened but you'll be fine!" Nate said reassuringly I nodded at him.

"Thanks I needed that. I'm glad I have my best friend here every step of the way." He nodded, through out the entire class Hermione and I were the two who answered every question. It was obvious Professor Snape favored his own house-which we all know it my house-he never forgot to praise me but not Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff.

"Professor Snape may I please go to the bathroom?" I asked, Snape raised an eyebrow.

"What would you be doing in there?" Don't you dare say to open the chamber of secrets Sammy! Wrong time!

"The bathroom sir." I said, he nodded and I sprinted out. "This was not what I was planning...but I can't quit." I said to myself in the mirror. I'm here. I'm following my dreams. I'm at Hogwarts, this is awesome! Well, awesome as school goes.
