Jack

It had been a rough night for Jack Frost as well.

He couldn't sleep much that night, tossing and turning, his eyes fixed on the blank ceiling above him. Every time he tried to close his eyes, the same voice would always drown his thoughts. The voice of a young girl, crying out his name.

Jack, I'm scared.

He gripped his bedsheets tight, shutting his eyes hard. I don't know what to do, I can't help you I'm sorry, he said in his head, hoping that it would work. His body shook with a sudden fear as he felt a cold chill tickle his spine.

Help me Jack, please! I-I'm scared

Jack bit his lower lip and held on to his pillow like a child. Please. Just... go away. Leave me alone, he replied calmly and ignored the cry of help once again.

JACK, HELP HELP I-

He heard the sound of cracking ice followed by a blood curdling scream.

The sound of his digital alarm clock pierced his ears like fire through his brain.

Jack stifled a gasp and  gazed at the time on the clock. 6:10 AM

He quickly pulled himself out of his bed covers and headed off downstairs, where his friend Bunnymund sat on the kitchen chair sipping a hot mug of coffee. "Morning Jack," he greeted him in his slight Australian accent, which Jack knew women would find very attractive. He raised the mug closer to his lips and took another sip from his coffee mug, revealing a tattoo of a bunny under his sleeve.

"Morning, Bunny," Jack replied and grabbed a sandwhich from the table. He took the seat next to Bunnymund and got himself a sparkling glass of apple juice. He took a bite from the sandwhich and chewed as the tasty flavor of ham and cheese bursted inside his mouth. "Sleep well last night?" Bunny asked, arching an eyebrow. "Yeah," Jack said nonchantly through a mouthful.

Jack has been living with Bunnymund, North, Toothiana and Sandy in the apartment for over 2 years now. He was an orphaned after his parents and little sister tragically passed away in a terrible snowstorm, which he had miraculously survived. Not long after, a man by the name of Nicholas Claus or 'North,' came and adopted him. Bunny, Tooth, and Sandy were all adopted too but from different orphanages. They were all given nicknames: Bunnymund for Stephen because he chosed to be named after his favorite football team's mascot, Toothiana for Clara because she plans to work as a dentist in the future, Sandy for Andy because he enjoys playing in the sand and Frost for Jack because he survived the snowstorm. But oftenly, they all just call him Jack.

Not long after, North then Tooth followed by Sandy joined them for breakfast. A few minutes later, the grandfather clock in the living room striked at 7 and North stood up from the table. "Hurry, or you all will be late for school," he exclaimed in his thick Russian accent. They all quickly scurried, picking up their backpacks and opened the front door, where the family's black honda was parked.

North opened to the door of the front seat and started the engine. Toothiana quickly followed, "DIBS ON THE FRONT SEAT!" she yelled and ran. Bunnymund sighed in desperation and stepped in the backseat. Sandy followed not long after, and finally Jack.

On their way to school, Sandy tapped his shoulder gently and smiled. Good luck on your first day in high school today, he motioned using his fingers. Sandy was mute so the only way he could communicate was through sign language. "Thanks buddy," Jack grinned and scruffled his hair. "You too." Sandy grinned back in reply.
