Morning then came around, the young red vixen was treading through the woods, exploring around for a while.

Then the sound of rustling leaves came into her hearing, she turned to look and sees the same wolf from before, a distance away from her, looking at her. She wags her tail at him as a greeting before continuing walking her way through the woods. The wolf follows alongside her, looking curious at the path she was walking in.

The fox then stops at a flower bush at the corner of her eye, she leans in and sniffs the growing buds and petals, taking a liking to the scent of them. The pleasant flower aroma made her feel relaxed.

But as she was sniffing the flowers, the two canines suddenly picked up the scent of something burning from far away.

The wolf started running towards the clearing leading to the meadow, the fox following behind him. As soon as the two reached the meadow, they were met with a horrific sight:

The meadow was engulfed in burning, crackling flames. They stretched outward on most parts of the meadow. The hot haunting flames burning the grass into nothing but a burnt charred mess.

The fox became startled at the sight of the burning flames as she lets out a startled yelp. The wolf nudges her side, telling her that they can't stand around here for long or else they will get burned alive by the fire.

The two canines made a bolt for it back into the woods, escaping the burning meadow. The fox looked back at the burning biome from far, but mostly at the meadow in general. Her home. She looked deeply saddened and distraught at how it's being destroyed by the inferno before her very eyes.

She didn't have nowhere else to go,.. or so she thought.

She heard a bark from nearby and turned to look, seeing the wolf stepping out of a cave that he had found. He was telling her to come in.

The fox took his word and went to the cave, going inside. She laid down as soon as she went in, still feeling the sadness overwhelm her other emotions as she kept thinking about what happened back in the meadow.

The wolf consoles the saddened vixen by nuzzling her side. The fox looks up at the wolf, feeling a bit comforted by him, before resting her head on her paws to try to rest her mind from the horrific sight they both witnessed.
