Chapter 4

Hey guys!!! This chapter isn't going to be the best because I wrote most of it in like.. 20 minutes xD(normally I take my time and stuff) So here we go :)

Gale's POV

I know this is wrong. I know thinking of another woman when I'm with someone, especially when that someone is my fiancé. But I can't help it, seeing her, hearing her voice.. It made me realize that I'm not with the person I love.

And that's what brought me here, to Katniss's front door hoping she'll want me too. Maybe this is a bad idea. But it's too late for plans on leaving and hiding my feelings because she opened the door.

"Hey Catnip.. Um, can we talk for a minute." I see a look of confusion spread across her face, she also kinda looks like she's been crying. "Okay," She says still looking confused. "Actually, meet me in the meadow at 9." I give her a smile and she nods. "Alright, bye Gale." I walk off towards Johanna's and my house. Now, how am I supposed to explain why I'm going out at 9 to Jo.

Katniss's POV

Why would Gale want me to see him at 9 o'clock.. I'm sure he has better things to do..like..being with Johanna. I stay at the door wondering why Gale asked me to go, when I suddenly remember Peeta.

I walk back to the living room and sit back where I was sitting. "Who was at the door?" He says as if he lives here. "No one," I reply somewhat harshly, he looks at me a look of confusion and hurt.

After what seems to be hours of talking Peeta says it's getting late and that he should go. I nod and walk him out and thank him. It's funny how a couple hours ago Peeta and I were afraid to even look at eachother and now were like best friends. I think and close the door.

I walk into my kitchen, I haven't eaten all day so I grab an apple and look at the clock. 7:58. One hour and two minutes. By the time I finish my apple it's 8:05.

55 minutes. I clean everything up in the kitchen trying to pass time, although my kitchen wasn't dirty it took 20 minutes. 35 minutes. I walk upstairs and take a quick 5 minute shower and dry my hair. I walk to my room, freezing cold I quickly find a navy blue sweater and black pants, I put everything I need on and rush down stairs.

10 minutes. I walk towards the door and slip my boots on and put my coat on. I begin to walk towards the meadow. I feel a smile slowly come on my face when I see him standing there.

Snow begins to fall when he turns around. "Hi Gale." I smile at him when I reach him. "I missed you," He whispers. "I missed you too." It's not a lie, occasionally I thought of him and began to realize I missed him, I think that's why I never freaked out when I saw him this afternoon.

We stare at eachother for a while. Before I know it my lips are on his, and everything is perfect. I forget about everything except Gale and me. That is until I hear the sound of footsteps.

"WHAT THE F*** GALE!"
