Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Sally, happy birthday to you. *as we finished the song everyone clapped
"Ok, so I couldn't find a any one that had time, but one told me what to do."
I sat there I was worried for Sally. Her mom died and it was up to me to take care of her, but I failed. We turned of the lights sat in a circle with candles everywhere. She brought out a bag of letter dice.
"So how this works is, you ask her a question then roll the dice, then she will use the dice to spell out her response."
"Sally if you are in here tell me."
The dice rolled and nothing happened
"Sally talk to us."
Nothing
"Give us a sign your in here."
Nothing
Ok let me try. Please, I need to talk to her. I rolled the dice and said "Sally please"
It worked.... "I'm listening"
I was so happy that she was here, I miss her "I miss you Sally"
Nothing
"Sally, why are you harming these innocent people?"
"Ask ginger...."
I turned my head over to Ginger, and she told me the same story she did when I got here.
The dice quickly changed.
"She's lying"
"No I'm not!"
She almost got out of the circle but her mom made her stay.
"You'll break the circle and Sally will then go and we won't be able to figure out anything."
Sally, do you love me? I said with tears in my eyes
Nothing
Sally?
No response
Please!
Not even a sound has hit the room
I began sobbing. She doesn't love me, I'll never know if I was taking good care of her, obviously not.
"You were a great parent. She just doesn't want to talk. Let's go to bed."
That night I went on the computer. I typed up 8 pages of something to tell Sally. I left it in my room that night. When I woke up the next morning it was gone. I saw on my computer that something has recently been printed. I checked the printer. There it was. The same exact sheet but with a typed response.
"Sorry about last night, but Ginger, she's lying. Please believe me."
I turned around and saw Ginger standing at the door,
"Good morning, breakfast is ready."
She walked away, I have to tell her mom soon, I can't when she's here though she is so sneaky. There we go tomorrow I will. Today is Sunday, she will be at school on Monday. I just have to stay calm.
