Jax's POV:

He'd been missing for over a week. That was on my mind almost everyday, adding day after day that I found nothing about the case. He'd never kidnapped someone before. He was escalating from drugs and robberies, and I didn't like it. I could only imagine the torture that poor Jason was going through, which was why I was determined to find out what had become of him, even if I just found a body. At least then his family would be able to lay him to rest, not that I ha actually found any of them. Jason himself was as mysterious as his captor.

So I started off that morning the same way I did every morning, with a hot cup of coffee and a doughnut. Yea I know that's stereotypical cop stuff but it's easy when you have a busy job like we do. Then I'd take out the file on my desk and open it again, looking over the evidence we have on the case of our missing journalist.

Inside, There were several photos of the crime scene. No blood, and since it was on concrete you couldn't tell if there were any other signs of a struggle. It was clean, besides the page that I had found that gave us the victim's name. Well what we assumed to be the victim. We knew so little that he could've been an accomplice. But our witness had seemed sure that he'd been forced into the back of that van, and I had no reason to disbelieve her, except when she said which direction they'd said that they were heading. Something about the way she said it seemed off to me, and I still thought that she was holding something back.

Today I was going to look for that van. I'd looked through our records and found no cases reported of a stolen van like the one the witness said he'd used, so I decided to go around the the local car shops and see if anyone had sold one. From there I'd find that person and see if they had an known connections to Angel. There were only 4 places. I went to all four throughout the day and out of all four, only one van was sold, to a man named Gregory Hicks.
