A young white she wolf with light blue and white feathers protruding from that back of her mane sat in the middle of a circle of pups. Her eyes were the color of the sea on a sunny day. She was the perfect girl no flaws in her silky fur or no battle scars. Her bones and muscles seemed to meet just at the right angle making her figure slender and soft.
"My name is Anela," she said with the most beautiful voice imaginable. "I believe you all have come here to hear a story if I'm not mistaken?" All the pups nodded smiles creeping onto their little faces. Soon, a happy murmur was traveling throughout the crowd of the ten or so pups. "Let's begin." Anela said curling her tail around her sleek paws. The pups sat up straight their ears perked and alert as they were ready to listen.
"There once were two tribes. The Lokia tribe of the sea and wind, and the Trush tribe of the valleys and mountains. The two tribes avoided contact with one another. They rarely ever talked about each other. They lived peacefully within their own tribes. For hundreds of years there was never war between the two.
Those hundreds of years passed by fast however. Humans were beginning to take over parts of the Lokia territory. Then wolves started not coming back from the hunts. Haoa, our chief today and my mother obviously, declared we need to expand the border lines. The Trush had too much territory any how. Plus the mountains they never used, but to declare a new chief and train pups. Haoa declared that Threat, the chief of Trush tribe, should hand over parts of his territory. Haoa argued that they had plenty of territory, and had some to spare for the other tribe in need. She began to address that her tribe was in need, but she was cut off by Threat. Threat was angry. He was a greedy wolf, and didn't want the Lokia tribe taking his land. He said, that if the Lokia wanted more territory they were going to have to fight for it, and if they lost then he would get the Lokia's territory. If the Trush lost then the Lokia would get all their territory and the Trush would leave their territory. The Lokia agreed knowing that they may be weak, but they had determination and hope. Lokia knew that that courage was stronger than the soulless Trush.
The battle began the next day when Threat and a group of other wolves came running into the Lokia camp. They killed the elders and pups first. Our guards tried to fight them off, but it was too much. That was when Haoa our great leader came racing down from her den. She lunged at Threat. Soon, they were in a one on one battle. Haoa was soon pinned Threat's jaws clamped tightly around her windpipe. She was able to push Threat off, but doing so the skin around Haoa's throat was ripped. She was about to collapse in pain but she knew it was fight or die. She struggled to stand. Once on her feet she let out a battle cry charging at Threat's figure. Threat dodged this, and Haoa went sliding. Blood was now everywhere as she stood once again. Haoa growled now shaking. With the last of her energy she lunged at Threat. Her jaws wide open she was able to clamp her mouth over half of Threat's face. He howled in pain trying to shake Haoa off. She didn't let go, and soon Threats blood was everywhere. It ran down his face like a river.
Once Threat was weakened Haoa loosened her grip. She was thrown across the camp. Wolves gasped as they saw Threat's face. You see, Threat used to be perfected. No flaws. His yellow and blue defected eyes looked beautiful on his face, but now he was hideous. He had lost his left eye and part of his ear. Most of the flesh on that side of his face was now an open wound, and blood covered his grey fur. He swore to Haoa that he would be back as he turned walking towards his camp to gather the pups and elders. He was alone. The bodies of his pack mates laid around our camp.
Some say when he got back to his pack he was so angry that he killed all the elders. Others figure that hew was expelled from his tribe, and his son Harp was assigned the new leader. We don't know if these are true, but we do know two things for sure. Threat is still out there, and he will be back...."
The room was silent as the white figure leaned over, and did one thing. She cried.
