Sometimes I wonder if I regret my decision that day, whether I shouldn’t have left home, nor neglected my arranged marriage, never should have deviated from my royal duty. What came to be would have been a lot different.
I do regret not telling anyone about the curse…poor Father. Not knowing what had befallen his one and only beloved daughter. But then again he did not truly care about me – he only cared about the kingdom’s social status so he does not deserve my sympathy. Besides, he is no more. And poor witch…her, I really pitied. Father and the palace tenders had spread word that a wicked witch had tricked the princess into pricking her finger on a cursed spindle – lies. The people hated witches since then, killed them even. That – that was really a shame. If they knew the real story, they would know who to really blame . . . .
But would they not have cursed for true love? Would they not have done what I did?
Isn’t true love worth fighting for?
