"Why are you crying?"
"Because I want to."
"But it's so depressing..."
"Well I'm a depressing person. Honestly though, you don't have to be depressed to cry. The way you're speaking to me is weird. I mean, haven't you ever had sometype of moment out of sadness or even happiness...Where you just cry? It doesn't have to be a pretty cry. It can be an ugly cry full of emotions." He licked his lips, blinking his clouded eyes.
"Well no, I have a pretty happy lige. It's perfect, but I've never had a moment where I cried. I haven't cried since the day I was born." The girl looked at him smiling widely. The boy looked back, scrunching his eyebrows together and seeming bord as ever.
"Wow," he said. "Have never cried in your life and yet you call your life perfect? Truthfully, I know everyones' different, but not being able to cry at all. You don't have a disease do you??" He laughed lighting a cigarette.
"No." The girl replied hastily.
"Well ok, so no disease, yet you don't cry ever. Even when a family member dies?" He flicked his cigarette towards the ground.
"Nope, I just think of the good and wonderful things to come." She smiled more.
"Gross." The boy spat out.
"What?" The girl was confused.
"You know living a life of trying to think about the happy things to come isn't what I call living. I mean, you're only 18. Fresh out of high school. Haven't gone to college yet. Haven't lived on your own yet and you say- practically- that you will live the rest of your life without tears. Without thinking about the 'sad things'. That isnt't what living is about. You may believe you wont cry for the rest of your life, but just wait. It may not be now, or in twenty years. One day, something drastic will happen and the tears will slowly start to trickle down your face."
