一
IT'S LIKE I'VE SHATTERED
my heart is scattered;
a fragmented bliss
oh how i miss
it being awoken.
it's like i've broken
i pick up the pieces
folding at the creases
trembling fingers deadly calm
shards large enough
to hold in my palm,
i fit them together
by ridges and blades
i cut and bleed and
my hands fade away.
but it's like i've splintered
and cried and withered
and lost all of the glass slithers
that held together my brittle roots
it's like they've
been crushed under boots.
and i'm mad
that i can hurt–
cause i'm hurting
so bad
and sometimes i wonder
if i'll always be sad
because i can't get my heart
back together again
it's like i've lost all that i could once amend.
