"Hurry up and finish your breakfast Fatima! Mum screamed
and stop counting your cereal" she said again from behind the kitchen counter.
She quickly took a spoon full into her mouth and then stood up to leave
"Sit down and finish your breakfast sweetheart" Mr Aliyu said from the other end of the kitchen before kissing his wife good morning
"Okay dad" she answered reluctantly before rushing the whole stuff into her mouth again
"Where has your table manners gone to?" Her mum scolded
Stop eating like you're on a competition.
"Okay mum" she said between mouth fulls
Then dropped the empty bowl in the sink
"Byee mum" she said with her mouth full
Then ran to get into the car with her Dad trailing behind her.
"Take care of yourself honey" she said

Greenfield Academy wasn't her favorite place, but she has no choice since her parents wanted her to have the best education.
Being the only child comes with a lot of things.
Mum was a full-time housewife, though she has a masters in Industrial chemistry
while Dad now works in a building company in Maitama, Abuja
He just got promoted recently, so we aren't yet familiar with our new environment.

Being the only child made me very lonely and antisocial, i had only myself and the toys to entertain.
I got too used to staying indoors and not making friends in the neighborhood.

I seriously don't like this school i said mentally
I faked a smile so that dad won't see my resentment

I waved at him while i watch his car drive away from my view
I took in a long breathe

"Greenfield i muttered quietly at the engraved name on the school main gate
I scanned my surrounding keenly
Taking in all the details of what the students were doing
Some children were been dropped by their parents,
some happy others not
While few are happily hugging Thier friends, and gisting about random stuffs,
Some lost in thier in thought, just like
I sighed before heading for classes
I felt like this was my first day
Even though it was just day four since my arrival here
I quickly hurried to my locker by the right of the hallway to get my books
And put my bag pack
"Hi!
A girl smiled at me, all her braceses smiling also
"Hello i replied back with a smile
"Am Fauzie, my locker is the one next to yours pointing at the locker i was leaning on
"Owww!, Am sorry i said feeling clumsy, then moved to give her access to her locker..
"No problem she said still smiling, you didn't tell me your name when she noticed i was about leaving
I wasn't really use to all this friendship stuffs, so i really didn't know what to do or say
"Am sorry for that, am Fatima Aliyu
I replied
"Oh, you have my Mum's name she beamed
"Really?" I asked
"Yeah, so where are you going to now she asked again
I checked the paper in my hand to confirm my class
"Uhmmn Grade 6 purple i said
"Don't tell me she exclaimed excitedly
We are in the same class then.. let get going
She quickly grab my hands and hurried to where we are going to have our first class
I kindly feel weird,am not use to socializing with people, but i think there's nothing bad in giving it a try
