A Hesitative Case

I'm sleeping peacefully when suddenly the rooster crows. I got up on my soft bed and I fixed one by one the pillows and the blankets that I used. I brewed a dark coffee to give heat in my stomach. I carried the coffee that I made on our balcony while reading newspapers. As I read the newspaper, I noticed that there is an increasing crime rate in the Philippines. I suddenly remembered those times that I resolve the cases that were difficult to solve. I suddenly dizzy because I remember again the reason why I'm at home now and doing nothing. I just stood on my chair to take a bath and recovered for the bad that happened to me for the past 10 years.

I finished washing up when I heard someone is knocking on the door. I peered out the window to see who is knocking and I saw some familiar men standing in front of the door. They are wearing shades, black tuxedo, and pants and they are carrying a briefcase. I opened the door and invited them to my house. I go to the kitchen to prepare them the food to eat. I put it on a tray and I returned to the living room to give what I prepared.

"We won't stay any longer here Detective Carlou, we just want you to go back to work again." the Detective said.

"Thanks for the invitation but I won't receive it. I don't want to get back to work which caused the near destruction of my mind" I said and I opened the door. "And if that's all you want to say you may go now."

"Forget the past, detective. You are one of the detectives who truly adores and a well-known detective in the Philippines and you'll just let it disappear early. If you change your mind, do not hesitate to come immediately to our agency. We will wait for you Detective Carlou." He said while tapping my shoulder.

When they left, I shouted and punched the wall. I do not know what comes into my mind and my eyes are getting blurred and suddenly all around became dark.

I woke up and was surprised suddenly why I'm sleeping in the living room. I do not remember what happened to me yesterday. I cleaned myself and checked the refrigerator to see if there's still something to eat but it was empty. I get my wallet and I only have 1 thousand in my wallet. I do not know how to fit it all year. I don't have any work to earn money. I just go to the market and I'll think later how I will earn money.

When I got home, I'm cooking for my lunch and suddenly I received a text from an unknown number. "Good day, Detective Carlou Silvestre! This is the Best Spy Detectives and Investigators, Co, and we would like to invite you again to come back in our team. We will raise your salary and benefits if you will return again to our agency. We will wait for your response Detective and I hope that you will not ignore it." Suddenly I remembered what happened yesterday. I do not want to accept it but I need the money right now. Ten years have also passed since the last case I hold which caused the near of insanity. I immediately wore my black tuxedo and pants considering that I'm now accepting their job offer.

I am now here at Best Spy Detectives and Investigators, Co. The moment I walk in, a lot of people greeted me with respect.

"Good Afternoon Detective Carlou Silvestre. It was nice to see you here again" I just smiled back at them.

I went straight to the office of secretary to talk about that I am accepting their offer. We talked a lot especially about the increasing of my salary and the benefits I will receive for the entire year.

"Alright, Mr. Detective Carlou Silvestre, you may start your job tomorrow. I'm glad that you're back again to our team. "He said politely. Before I leave his room, we shook our hands.
