Chapter 6

"I'll miss you if you leave." I stared at Romeo as Natsu came up behind him, Lucy was following behind as well.
"Why should I care." I crossed my arms, I did care but he didn't need to know how I felt.
"Because, we care about you, you're a part of the guild Kat, even if you don't see it that way." Lucy decided to speak up, she really knows how to sweet talk someone.
"I don't see it that way." I mumbled under my breath, she could sense I was lying, I realized, when she sighed in a short breath.
"Come back to the guild, we're waiting for you." Romeo's gaze traveled to Sting, who was currently smiling awkwardly.
"Fine, but I don't know why I'm even agreeing." Natsu smiled and grabbed Lucy's hand as we begin to walk out.
"Bye Sting." I smiled as I slowly departed, Romeo grabbed my hand causing me to blush, but I didn't pull away. This felt right.
"How's Wendy?" Lucy and Natsu walked in front of us as I talked to Romeo quietly.
"She's... what normal is lately." His hand squeezed mine tighter as it heated up.
"Calm down." I squeezed his hand back gently, he relaxed under my touch.
"We made up," He began, caution was lining his words,"And she kissed me."
"Oh." A lump formed in my throat, I pulled away from his grip. So this is jealousy....
"Good for you, now you have girlfriend." Romeo groaned, is he seriously upset about dating Wendy?
"I'm not dating her.. I don't even like her like that." He said and my eyes get a bit wider.
"Seriously? Well then who do you like." I was hoping he liked someone I at least knew, so i'd still be able to spend time with him even if he wasn't dating me. I wish he was dating me though.
"I haven't told you who I like yet? I thought I did.." Natsu laughed from in front of us, rather loudly.
"Romeo you are really bad at this." I laughed awkwardly, what does he mean?
"Shut up Natsu, you took way longer to tell Lucy you love her than i'm taking with Kat right now." Lucy blushed and giggled as my face heated.
"So Natsu told Lucy he loved her and took forever, and apparently you're taking forever to tell me how you feel?" I asked and he was speechless for a second.
"Oh please, I already know how you feel." I jabbed his side lightly with my elbow.
"We're best friends dude, now can we get something to eat i'm hungry?" I think I just friend-zoned myself, oops.
"S-sure.." Romeo mumbled as we approached the guild doors.
"Let's get some milkshakes." I smiled and pulled him over to Mirajane to order. She got us the drinks really quickly and I sat down at a table, he sat across from me and I sighed deeply.
"Why do you like me?" I asked, he raised his eyebrow at me as he took a sip of his drink.
"What do you mean... what's not to like?" Giggling, I rolled my eyes, I stopped just in time for Wendy to sit down next to Romeo.
"There's a lot not to like." Wendy sighed as she ran a fingernail across Romeo's arm lightly. He shivered a bit.
"Wendy could you just.. stop it. Please?" She laughed lightly and grabbed Romeo's hand.
"Well why should I... he is my boyfriend after all." I blinked a couple times, dumbfounded by the idea. She rest her head on his shoulder with a smile.
"Wendy, what is up with you?" Romeo jerked his shoulder away from her, standing up.
"It's like whenever Katie is here you act like a complete jerk." I looked at him in a manner that asked 'you seriously wanna call me that?'
"I-" She stopped as she turned to me, her eyes flashed from blue to brown.
"Romeo.. what color are Wendy's eyes... don't cheat and look."I said, locking eyes with her icy gaze.
"Brown, they've always been brown." She turned away from me to stare at Romeo for a moment.
"Then why are her eyes blue?" He looked into her eyes and kept glancing back up at me in disbelief.
"We should tell master." I shook my head, there is no way I was gonna tell the master about this.
"No, I just felt safe coming back here, i'm not gonna tell him something that could make me have to leave the guild again." Glancing around the guild hall, I saw a girl with short blue hair reading a book with red glasses, a guy with long black hair was sitting across from her, there was a black cat sitting on the table.
"Her, she looks smart." I said, pointing to the girl I noticed and Romeo nodded.
"That's Levy, she'll probably know what's going on, come on." He looked back to Wendy, as did I.
"Come on Wendy, lets go talk to Levy." A fake smile was plastered across his face, she put her hand slowly.
"Help.." She whimpered out, her body fell to the floor, and I heard snickering coming from a table near us. So Wendy, isn't really herself and these boys think it's funny.
"Hey!" I yelled at them aggressively, and they went silent, stunned by my outburst.
"Shut the hell up." Their eyes went wide as I stepped towards them. I was angry, extremely. They took advantage of Wendy, they did something to her, changed her, hurt her.
"You are such a jerk, taking advantage of her, why are you even here, you're not even a part of the guild, you could never be wizards." One of the boys stood up and stepped up to me.
"My name is Marcus, and yours is?" He smirked and put his hands in his pockets, trying to act hot I suppose.
"None of your business is what it is." The boys laughed behind him, my hands rested on my hips, the leather of my gloves brushing against my skin.
"Oh come on, we did nothing wrong." Marcus shrugged and laughed a little bit.
"Romeo," I turned back to him and Wendy,"Go talk to Levy ok?" He hesitated, but eventually took Wendy over to her, people had noticed what was happening, everyone was helping do something.
"And you," Marcus winced as I turned back to him sharply," Stop talking crap about things you have no information about."
"Oh we have information." He grabbed my hand, I pulled away from him as quickly as I could.
"What information?" People were staring at us, I could feel it, I hoped Levy knew what was wrong with Wendy.
"Information comes at a price." It was Dustin who spoke this time, the
one who had threatened Wendy outside, I remembered.
"What price?" I sighed, he looked me up and down then smiled creepily.
"You have to date me if you want information." He demanded, at this point I didn't even really care, just as long as I could help Wendy and get it over with.
"Fine." Marcus just laughed lightly and looked between the two of us.
"Now tell me, what did you do." Dustin grabbed both of my hands and I struggled not to pull away.
"She's just under a simple possession spell, it can be broken only by an enchantment that lifts it." He leaned close to me, whispering in my ear the whole time.
"Great thank for the information." I pulled my hands away from his and he inched closer, trying to kiss me. I stepped back and Marcus pushed me back into him and his lips landed right next to my mouth. My teeth clenched in anger, I shoved Dustin away from me and turned around to Marcus.
"Oh my ba-" I punched him square in the face at full force and used my shadow magic to get over to Wendy and Romeo in just a few seconds.
"She's under a possession spell." The words were hoarse against my throat and Romeo was alarmed.
"Levy.." He said and she nodded in understanding.
"Dustin! We're broken up!" I yelled and began to walk out of the guild, I was upset, I noticed my eyes tearing up a bit.
"Kat!" Romeo ran after me, outside of the guild I stopped and looked around, I had no where to go.
"What's wrong." He asked with worry in his eyes.
"Everything." I cried and turned around, I wrapped arms around him and hugged him tightly.
"I've never told anybody about what happened in my past.."
