The Sensabaugh Tunnel
That was where our story begins. The Sensabaugh Tunnel.
Shit, almost forgot. My name's Persephone, though it's Perrie to everyone but my grandparents,for the record, just so you know, even though you don't fucking care anyways.
Chapter one.
"Perrie, you sure you wanna go on this road trip?"My best friend, Jay, asks me as we sit at starbucks, me surfing the web and sipping my coffee, her reading The Fault In Our Stars for the thousandth time. I sighed, closed my laptop, and took a drink.
"Yep. Of course I wanna go see all the haunted places."I say, and set my coffee down on the table, put my laptop in the bag, wrap up the charger cord, and stand up, grabbing my coffee.
"Let's go pick up Nic and Lyss."I sigh, though I was excited to see my girlfriend, Nicolette, Nic for short. She was so beautiful, it killed me. She was really excited for this trip, a way to get away from the sleepy town of Wynter. Literally. That's the name. Wynter. Not even shitting you, it's called Wynter.
The only chain we had was a starbucks.
In the bookstore.
Which was shitty
But still a bookstore.
We walked out, calm and collected, and got into my car. We started driving to Nic's house, where her and Lyss eagerly awaited us to sneak away.
We had all turned 18, so it's not like they could really do much to make us come back, and we didn't care about finishing school. My birthday was in september, Jay's was in november. Lyss's was january, and Nic's was in three days.
April 12th.
I drove up to Nic's, honked the horn once, and Nic and Lyss ran out, carrying three bags each. I popped the trunk open with my handy high tech button pusher car, a venza, and they got in the back seat. Jay and I's luggage was already in the back, as well as a whole bag of random snacks and sodas and a case of water. Everyone had chipped in a 20 for snacks, leaving us with 80 for our whole shibang on food. We bought 20 dollars worth of snacks, 10 of sodas, and 10 of water, and things we could sneak from our houses. Jay made up some sandwiches and lemonade, and we planned to not have to eat out for as long as possible, lest we spend our money.
We had 440 dollars to spend on everything other than gas, and we had over thou for that and hotels, thanks to the college fund. Too bad I was wasting my life going on road trips and writing about them, unlike my Doctor father and my Lawyer mother.
"Baby, turn it up."Nic says from the back seat, and I turn up Poppin' Champage by All Time Low. I had put my phone on aux, and on Slacker too, so it was just playing I Feel Like Dancin' radio, my favorite. It always played good stuff.
"So, what's our plan?"Lyss asks.
"Well, first of all, we get the hell away from Wynter, then we say where we've gone. We keep Nic away from her parents for three days before they can make her come home, and that's our most important task."I say, and Jay sighs.
"What about stupid key chains and band merch?"
"Do you have money for band merch, Janet?"
"Call me that and die, Persephone."
"Watch your tone."Nic warned.
"I do what I want, Nicolette."
"I will cut a bitch."Lyss says, and we all laugh.
"Not neccessary, Alyssa."I say, and just turn up Hello Fascination by Breathe Carolina, making everyone shut up and listen to the music.
Within three hours, we were driving into Nashville.
"Can we stop?"Lyss asks.
"Why?"
"I just wanna walk around. It might be nice to do some sight seeing."Lyss answers, and Jay and I look at each other.
"Um, I guess so.... As long as within two hours we're back in the car, it shouldn't set us back too much. The youth hostel might be issed if we're late."I say, and I see Lyss smile in the rearview mirror. I drove to a park, and everyone bailed. I checked to make sure my faub was still on my belt loop on my shorts, and sighed, locking the car, and walking with them.
Nic had waited, I saw as I walked towards the playground, where Jay and Lyss were running little kids off of the monkey bars. I gave Nic a sexy smile, and she made a gesture towards the bathrooms, which hid anything that was behind the back wall. I nodded, and walked, and so did she.
"Okay, gotta be quick."I whisper to her, and start kissing her. She kisses me back, my hands on her waist, and hers massaging the skin hidden by my shorts. Just the very edge, not deep, but still in my shorts. I started kissing her neck, and she bit her lips to keep from making noise, and then I put my hand in her jeans,just barely touching her.
"YES!"She whisper/screamed, even though I hadn't been doing enough to make her orgasm. I was sort of just touching her.
I took my hand away, wiped it on my shirt, and she sighed, closing her eyes.
"Do you love me, Perrie?"She whispers, her breath tickling my ear.
"I love you with all of my heart, Nic. Don't ever forget it. Please."I whispered, and she nodded. She kissed me, and we walked away, and to the swings.
They had one of those tire swings that spun, so she got on it, and I spun the hell out of her, She nearly barfed, I spun her so hard.
Okay, that sounded really, really wrong. But that's what happened, I swear.
