Author's Space: Hello, everybody! I'm so sorry for the long wait! School had taken most of my time for the past few weeks and I didn't get to find time to write the next chapter of this fanfic. Chapter 15: The Dark Dragon's Flames

"W-What should we do now?" Chihiro asked out of fear. She had a really bad feeling about what was going to happen next. She was able to feel her heartbeat getting faster and her body even trembled a little.

Haku hugged her and said, "Don't worry. I'll always be there to protect you, Chihiro."

Chihiro knew very well that Haku would try his best to protect her at all cost. But she still had a bad feeling. It was as if she knew something really bad will happen soon.

"I hope nothing very bad will happen to anyone." Chihiro thought as she hugged Haku tightly.

"Haku, I think it is time to do what Zeniba had asked you to do." Yubaba said as she continued observing the situation outside through the window.

"Yes. I shall begin my journey in search of the other Light Dragons." Haku said as he slowly began breaking the hug between him and Chihiro.

"But first, take out the Light Box Zeniba gave you and try focusing your powers and release your Water Gem." Yubaba instructed.

Haku nodded and took out the Light Box from his pocket. The Light Box floated in the air magically as Haku tried to focus his powers to release his Water Gem.

After a few moments, soft light began to form around Haku and a bright light began to shine in between him and the Light Box.

A bright light suddenly blinded everyone for a few moments and after the light faded away, they saw a beautiful light blue gem formed in front of Haku. It shone beautifully before it moved slowly towards the Light Box and suddenly got sucked into it.

The Light Box stopped floating and Haku caught it just in time before it fell to the ground.

"T-That was amazing. That was the Water Gem right? It's beautiful!" Chihiro said in an excited tone. She began imagining how the other gems would look like.

"Looks like we found the right person to hand this mission to. We're counting on you, Haku." Yubaba said to Haku with a smile on her face.

Haku nodded with a smile and said, "I promise I'll do my best. So I guess I better get going now."

"You mean 'we'?" Chihiro said.

"It'll be dangerous out there." Haku warned Chihiro. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Chihiro. If anything bad would happen to her, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself.

"But I want to go with you. I want to be there for you, Haku." Chihiro held onto Haku's hands and stared into his eyes. She gave him a look that clearly showed that she wouldn't allow anything to change her mind.

"Okay then." Haku said and smiled gently at Chihiro. Chihiro was happy to know she'll be going with Haku. After all, sitting down and waiting for Haku to return while not knowing what was going on out there would be a torture for Chihiro.

"Alright then, you two better leave as soon as possible. I think the Dark Dragon's army will be arriving at the bathhouse soon." Yubaba said as she began to cast strong barriers around the bathhouse.

Haku and Chihiro hurried back to their room and see what they could bring along with them.

Chihiro emptied her backpack and put in some fruits and biscuits that Lin just gave to her earlier before she left Yubaba's office. She also decided to bring along a water bottle.
