~Flashback~
I giggled, with such a white smile. Jasper, my best friend ever, grabbed my hand and ran through the woods, leading me. We heard a howl that came from a distance. Jasper looked worried. He looked at me, hugged me, then said bye quickly. I watched him run off farther into the woods until I couldn't see him anymore. I walked home, lonely.
I walked into my house, then sat down at the dinner table. "Where's Jasper? Wasn't he with you?" My mother asked, washing dishes. "We were paying, and he was in a hurry all the sudden. He went home I guess," I said, "I'm a little worried." My mom looked at me curiously. "I didn't see him walk past our house," she said. He's our neighbor. Then where did he go, I thought. My mom walked around me, patting my head, then sat a bowl of soup in front of me. "You don't need to worry about boys, you're only ten," She said. "He's just a friend," I said annoyed.
~Present time~
My teacher, Mr. Colleen, throws a pen at me, because I'm sleeping in class. I didn't get much sleep last night. I look through the window on the door, and see Jasper mouthing the words "ask to use the bathroom," I rase my hand, then Mr. Coleen says annoyed. "What April?"
"Can I go to the bathroom, I can't hold it," I ask. "You have five minutes," he says, rolling his eyes.
I leave the room and Jasper takes me to a room with no class.
"Your skipping class," he demands. "No I'm not," I say angrily. "Come on," he pleads. "Unlike you I want to go to college," I say. "You need to learn to have a little fun," he says. "Look, child, I have a different type of fun," I say, then storm out of the room, and luckily I get to my class on time.
I wake up to the sound of rocks hitting my window. I see Jasper out side with a pile of rocks in his hand.
I walk out side, angry. "What are you doing, you could have broke my window," I say. "I want to tell you something," he says, softly. "What," I ask. He grabs my hand the pulls me close to his face. He lips almost touch mine until he starts laughing. I look at him with my eyes widened. "April fools," he says laughing loudly. "You literally thought I was gonna kiss you," he laughs. My face gets red, then I run into my house. "Stupid, stupid, stupid," I repeat. I look out the widow and watch him leave.
"What is up with you," I say to myself.
