Protagonist POV
She sits down in her favourite chair, coffee in hand as she watches the sun rise. I raise my head and walk over to her, I 'yip' at her and sit down placing my head on her lap.
Slowing she looks down at me and a smile graces her lips. We sit there a while longer her coffee on the table as her hands are occupied with scratching my ears while she watches the sun get higher in the sky.
As the birds start to chrip their morning song, she sighs and pats my head once more before she reaches for her cane which helps her stand and walk.
We head to the kitchen, I'm happy I wag my tail, it's time for food.
Slowly one foot in front of the other, each rising only slightly off the ground, we make it.
I grab my bowl up with my teeth, and place it at her feet, she's stopped moving now, merely leaning against the bench, deep heavy breathes and a comforting smile as I look up at her...
