NICKY'S POV
We stopped by KFC for dinner. Since it was quite late there isn't too many people and I relaxed. Don't get me wrong, I love all of our fans but I would really like to spend some quality time with my best mates and Katie. Shane went to the cashier to order our food. Mark was reading something with his phone andtalking to Kevin while Kian was texting Jodi I guess.
"Um Katie?" I asked.
"Yeah?" She looked up at me.
Well this is it right? I'm so nervous she wouldn't accept my apology!
" Listen, um about what happened I'm sorry." I said, trying to fight back the tears that had threatened to spill so suddenly. "Georgina and I didn't mean to leave you out in the cold, we were so caught up in doing um doing stuff we didn't realize you hadn't entered the house. I promise it will never ever happen again as long as you're living with us and you're now officially my daughter. I'm sorry."
Katie looked at me as if to search whether what I said is a lie or not.
"I forgive you." Katie said smiling. I opened my arms wide and she walked into my embrace.
"Come on lads, we can't just stand here, go find a place to sit." I said, finally realizing that we had been standing here for the past 5 minutes. I held Katie's hand and led her to a comfortable couch to sit on.
"You know, this place reminds me of the venue where you guys shot the video of Uptown Girl." Katie said, looking around. I chuckled at her nodded.
"Katie, looks like you busted Audrey." Mark said handing her his phone. I read over the contents of the passage that was on Mark's phone and laughed.
"Way to go Katie."
"Seriously? I'm just stating the truth. They're all real facts. Everyone knows that Audrey sucked. Ain't that obvious? I'm just adding some fun to that show of hers." She said smiling.
"It's no longer her show Katie. Continue reading." Kevin said.
Audrey McNeill was immediately fired after the interview with Westlife and their adopted daughter Katie. It was said that McNeill's shows were boring as hell and people only watched because they didn't want to miss a show with their idol's appearance. After the little arguement with Katie Byrne, it has been decided that The Audrey Show would be replaced to the Ellen Show.
"Oh great! We don't have to cope with Audrey's dull conversations." Kian said clapping with joy.
Shane came back with our food.
"Dig in guys!" He said. Once he sat down beside me, I began to fill him in all of details that he had missed.
We were all having a good time but it all ended when the door opened and the wind chimes rang.
KATIE'S POV
We all looked up to see who came in. I don't like her. I hate her. You can guess who she is. That's right. The Audrey McNeill who just got fired because of me! I looked back down continuing to eat but it was too late, she and her group of friends had seen us. They began to walk towards our table.
"Alert, the boring disease is approaching, alert." I said to the lads and they snickered.
"Whatcha doing here?" Kevin asked ptetending to be casual.
"Stay away from this. I want her." Audrey said pointing at me.
"What is it that you want?" I asked faking a smile.
"You little brat. You made me lose my job!" She hissed.
"First of all, she's not a brat. Secondly, please leave us or else I'll call the police." Kian said.
"I don't care." Audrey shot back and glared at him.
"How dare you speak to him like that? You don't know what I'm capable of. There's so much more I can do to you." I said. What am I doing? This isn't the real me, it's like I'm transforming into another person. What is happening?
"Oh yeah? It's on." She said and left.
"Katie what was that?" Nicky asked shocked.
"Katie? I'm not Katie. I'm Kaitlyn."
~Back at home~
It's getting scary. I can't take control of myself. Whose Kaitlyn? Why am I denying my own name? The lads had tried to tell me my name is not Kaitlyn all the way back home. I'm getting confused myself. Am I sick? I zoned out during the ride back. I didn't care who called my name, I just ran back to my room and locked the door. I looked at myself in the mirror.
"Who are you?" I asked myself. I felt myself being drawn back.
"Don't you know Katie? I'm Kaitlyn and that's Kathleen. We live inside of you. My job is to protect you and Kathleen well I don't know. She doesn't speak." I said to myself again in a different tone.
"Are you in there Kaitlyn?" I heard Shane say. I unlocked the door.
"Who are you talking to? Who's Kaitlyn. I'm Katie, plain old dull Katie." I pretended to not know what he's talking about. He hugged me.
"Oh my gosh. You're back! You know after that incident back there you started calling yourself Kaitlyn."
Think fast Katie think. Gotta lie.
"Aren't I Katie all along? What are you talking about? Of course I'm not Kaitlyn!" I argued back.
"Uh... uh yep. You're Katie all along. Must be my imagination. Get some rest Katie. Sleep tight." Shane said, kissing my forehead and closed my bedroom door. I sighed, throwing myself onto my bed. What am I?
