Unedited.

Cars. That's all I see as William drives down the road to where mum works. I zone out as I hum a random tune, hearing the faint voice of the radio, but I could really careless. I had a fight with William cause he didn't want to leave me alone at home, strange right? Since I'm all 19 and that? I roll my eyes and sigh, the tension between us is so thick that you could cut it with a knife.

I hear him sigh and glance at me, but I am too angry at the moment. "You're making a big deal." He states quietly. "And you're the worst." I fire back, flipping him off. He groans and I hear him muttering, "kid."

I see the big building coming in view from far and I sit straight, wanting nothing but to get out of this car.
"I never meant that you're a kid, I just want to make sure okay? What if someone breaks in the house, or you fall down the stairs? I am protecting you." He tried to reason.
"I'm 19 for god's sake Will!" I yell at him cause I'm done playing nice. He is so overly protective and not in the good way.

Before he could open his mouth to say another word, I exit the car, slamming the door shut behind me. I need to prove that I'm angry and that I'm not the person who can be treated like this.
I walk inside the building and I'm suddenly overwhelmed by warmth, making me sigh in content. I walk to the front desk and Laura smiles as she spots me. "Anna, dear, how are you?"

I smile back at her, nodding my head. She grins at me, "well, I assume you're looking for your mum? She's in room 365." She sends a wink in my direction and I chuckle then turn around. What's wrong with her today? I shrug, walking towards the elevator. I push the third floor button when I hear someone.

"Wait!!!" I quickly stop the elevator and he comes running. "Thank you." He sighs in relief. I nod my head then push the button again. "Which floor, sir?" I look at him. He glances at me, before returning to his phone. "Third." He mumbles and I roll my eyes.

"Rude." I mumble, making sure he didn't hear it. I side glance at him, taking in his features, he is handsome actually. He has short brown hair which was slicked back, gelled actually. I couldn't see the colour of his eyes cause he was too busy on his phone, but one thing for sure. He was so tall, I barely reached his shoulders.

The elevator dings, snapping me out if my gaze, then I move to get out in the same time he does, making us both pump our shoulders. I sigh and look at him. "Ladies first you know?" He narrowed his eyes at me. "Yeah, ladies not kids." He retorts, walking out, leaving me shocked. "Asshole." I mutter, making sure that this time he heard it. I stop to drink as he disappears from my sight. The bastard was British.

I sigh and shrug, walking down the corridor to the room my mum's in. I knock on the door, hearing the faint 'come in'. I open the door, walking in, seeing my mum feeding the patient. That's weird, she never does that. "Hey mum!" I say cheerfully, moving to the couch to take a seat but I'm stopped when I see a so familiar face. It was the british asshole from the elevator. I narrow my eyes at him, clenching my jaw. "You." I growl. "Yeah me." He smirks in success, knowing that I can't do anything in front if my mum.

I groan and I feel my mum and that guy's eyes on us. I huff an look at mum. "Can we talk alone?" I ask, irritated. She nods and looks at the man. "If you'll excuse me, Mr Simon?" She smiles, sweetly. Too sweetly for my liking. He grins and nods. "Of course, my dear." Oh great! He is british too?
She blushes, looking at me. We both walk out of the room and immediately, her features change. "What was that back there?" She hisses, lowering her voice so those cocky bastards wouldn't hear. I give her an innocent smile. "What was what?" She glares at me before sighing. "What's wrong? You okay? You need something?" She asks with a small smile. There she is finally my mum.

I frown and cross my arms in front of my chest. "I dunno, ask that worthless excuse of a son that you have." I state, making her face go hard again. "Anna! Don't talk like this about your brother. He just cares about you." I laugh and shake my head. "If he is anything, then he is overreacting, mum. The thing is he couldn't leave me home alone cause he was out with his friends." I groan, stomping my foot like a little child. She furrows her eyes brows. "Is that boy out of his mind?" She mumbles, shaking her head. "Okay honey, don't worry. I will finish with Mr Simon and we can head home, okay?" I nod silently. She puts her arms on my shoulders. "Don't be such a grumpy pants, he's overreacting, but he is looking out for you, alright? Cheer up C'mooooon." She pinches my cheeks, smiling widely, making me laugh. "Okay fine fine, but just for you." I give up then glance at the door. "We should head in." I say, opening the door and go in, my mum silently follows. As soon as she walked into the room, Simon's eyes looked at her with a sweet smile.

"Ah you're back." He exclaims. I can feel mum blushing and looking down. What's up with these two?!
"Well, Anna was just leaving." She nudges me with her elbow. "No, I wasn't." I frown, looking at her.
"It's okay actually, I would like to know her." He looks in my direction with a smile. He is nice and I like him. Unfortunately, this peaceful moment was interrupted by a clear of throat. "Well, I shall be going. Me and the boys will come again soon uncle Si." He smiles and Jesus, he has dimples? He is so beautiful, yet so arrogant and stupid.

I sigh, looking at my feet. He walks out and then an awkward silence falls upon the room. "Sooooo, you're name is Simon?" I smile, trying to break the tension. He grins and nods. "Simon Cowell, love. Please come sit next to me." He pats the empty space beside him on the bed. He gives that comforting vibe about him. I happily, sit beside him. "You're Anna, I assume?" He looks at me and I nod my head. "Yup, Annabella actually but Anna for short." I cringe at the thought of my full name. Why? Funny story, it reminds me of that horror movie and I happen to be a scaredy cat.
"That's a lovely name!" He pats my knee and I look at him, biting my lip. "I like your accent." I blurt out and I'm pretty sure mum's gonna screw me up when I get home. He laughs loudly and I can feel mum shooting daggers at me. If looks could kill. I blush, "I....I'm sorry." I apologise, looking down. "Hey, It's okay. I get that a lot. Your mum said the same." He whispered the last part and I glance at mum, but she didn't hear. I let out a loud laugh. "Guess it runs in our genes, then."

We laugh and talk for a while. He is a nice guy actually, not like the young man who was here before.
"Well, I'm sorry to interrupt your chit chat, but it seem like it's time for us to go home." My mum states as we both look at her. "Really? What time is it?" I raise my eyebrows, yawning. "It's 10 p.m" My eyes widen as I stare at her. What?! I have been here for six hours? Wow, guess that time does fly. I get up and put on my jacket, looking at Simon. Awh, he's frowning. I am sad too, the guy is so nice. "Miss me already?" I grin and wink at him. He chuckles and holds my hand, patting it gently. "It was nice meeting you, Anna. I hope I can see you again." I smile and nod my head. "Likewise, I'll wait for you out mum." I tell her and walk out of the room. One thing that I'm sure of.

They like each other.
