With swift, sharp movements the lavender beauty worked hard in the kitchen, making sure her chocolate was made to perfection.

'I hope... Naruto will enjoy this!' Hinata smiled at the thought of the goofy blonde tasting the chocolate and rewarding all her hard work, making a pink blush bounce onto her cheeks.

Days before this night Hinata had explored the village, whilst also picking up information on how to make the best Valentine's chocolates, from experienced villagers. The stories she heard of guys falling head over heels when they were given mouth-watering chocolate made Hinata's heartbeat become increasingly speedy and in a flustered motion, she accidentally splashed a dot of chocolate onto her face.

"Whoopsie," she giggled to herself, immediately wiping the chocolate off her nose and placed the mixture in differently shaped, mini moulds. With a proud smile, she withdrew herself once her treats began to rest in the fridge and gave herself a couple pats of encouragement on each cheek.

Hinata cleaned herself up and before floating off to dreamland, she looked in the mirror. "Hinata, you can do this," she motivated herself, a common strategy the rest of her family found out about, but who were they to complain when it helped the pure princess get some confidence? "I've always watched you, and I admire you so much," Hinata repeated a few lines to her reflection, and once her practice was over she fell onto her bed with a love-sick sigh. "When I wake up, it will be Valentine's Day." Her gentle tone made the scene itself as sweet as chocolate, and she slowly shut her eyes while hugging a white pillow.

The following morning Hinata stretched with a yawn while her brain slowly reminded her as to what she had arranged for herself today. "T-T-T-TODAY'S THE DAY!" The Hyuga stuttered as she shouted in realisation, strands of indigo hair jumping out.

"Hinata, please keep it down would you?" She heard her cousin Neji ask sincerely and she immediately sat back down on the bed composing herself as she collected her thoughts.

"Today's... the day." She whispered, before catching a look at herself in the mirror. Her hair was pointing in all directions, and her frazzled state had made her light pink pyjamas wrinkle up with anxiety. Her fingers gripped the brush handle and the simple bristles sorted her hair out, adding to the transformation.

Hinata was inexperienced with the thought of outfits, so she was forced to wear her normal outfit for fear of embarrassing herself just by walking outside in a set of clothes that yelled a particular message, 'I have no idea what I'm doing'.

The brush ran through her hair once more before she heard a knock at her bedroom door.

"Hinata," the very familiar voice was from her dear cousin.

"Yes, Neji?" She turned to the voice with a smile.

"You're gonna confess to him today, right?" Neji asked, leaning against the doorway. Hinata nodded with a small blush as she gulped. Neji shook his head but nevertheless, he walked up to his cousin and patted her on the head, "He's a careless boy, but I can't hold objection towards your feelings."

"Thank you," Hinata couldn't help but feel proud at how Neji had matured so wisely and was actually giving Naruto a chance.

Hinata jogged over to the fridge and put her chocolate treats in a homemade container being carefully decorated with hearts a colour matching her blush.

She stepped out the Hyuga mansion and heard her cousin say, "Good luck," before she dashed off in search of the blonde ninja.
