She's got some problems, she has schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder, but is kept in a hospital aka asylum to try calm her as they can't really cure her. A more physical disorder she has is anorexia, despite being practically forced to eat at times, it always ends up coming out.
Maybe we could be like, if he's still in school for psychology, him and the other students go to a hospital to see what those with disorders and such look like, and they get patients to observe and such, and he gets her? Just an idea
