"Cameron get your dumb ass down here!" My father yelled.

I walk downstairs shaking. Fearing that my life was near its end.

"Ah there you are." My father said.

"W-what do you want."

"You know what I want!" He says shoving me to the ground and climbs on top of me.

"You are worthless and an accident!" He yells slapping me.

"P-please stop!"

"I AM YOUR FATHER AND I TELL YOU WHAT TO DO!'

"OK just don't hurt me."

"THATS IT!" He yells wrapping his hand around my throat and bangs my head against the wood floor.

I struggle to breathe but soon my body goes limp. I can only hear faint yelling. My father releases me and I soon gain conscious.

"WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM." someone yells. I look up and see some guy yelling at my father.

"SHES MY DAUGHTER AND I WILL DO WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT TO."

"I am calling child protective services!"

My father runs out of the house and the guy approaches me.

"Are you OK?" he asks.

"W-who are you?"

"Brent Rivera."

End of flashback

Hello, My name is Cameron Hemmings. My friends call me Cammie. Well that's a lie because I don't really have any friends. I live in a cruddy home with a woman with about fifteen kids. No joke. But of course I am the one she hates the most. I get into trouble a lot even though I never really talk. My life is... Well.... You know... Complicated... I hope my so called "mother" gives me away soon.

"Cameron pack your things your leaving." She said happiliy.

I spring off of my bed and pack all my stuff in one bag.  All I have is two outfits, a pair of shoes, and a a necklace with a ring attached to it.

(I will tell you about the necklace later.)

After I get my stuff packed  I

sprint downstairs.

"The taxi is out front here is $20 bucks and the address number. now leave!" She says walking away with her heels clicking against the floor. I roll my eyes and run outside. I run outside and open the taxi door and climb in.

"Where to toots." The man asks.

I look at the slip she gave me and told him the address.

"710 N. Mable St?"

"Yes sir."

"So how old are you young lady."

"Sixteen."

The rest of the ride was silent.

"OK young lady were here."

"Uh thanks for the ride. How much do I owe you?"

"Don't worry about it." He says.

"Thanks." I say climbing out of the cab. He smiles and drives away.

"Wow." I say to myself staring at the huge house that lies before me.

I start climbing up the stairs.

When I reach the door I stand there for a second.

"Here it goes." I say knocking on the huge door.
