In the living room, sat eleven year old Anna in what looked like the centre of a murder scene. Blood dotted the carpets all around little Anna, and were stuck in the curtain fabric, the couch, and everywhere else.
"Oh my God..." Anna's father said.
"Daddy, he's gone now, it's okay now." Anna said softly between tears.
"My darling, who did this? What happened? Tell me Anna, right now." Mark said quickly while grabbing his daughter and carrying her to the kitchen sink. Anna had cuts all over her face, and blood on her clothes. He pulled open the drawer as fast as he could and searched for the band aids.
"The caticorn, daddy. He came down and wanted to take me away again. But this time he didn't come at night." Anna replied shakily.
"Anna, I'm not fooling around, this is serious. Did someone come into the house?"
"YES FATHER! The caticorn! He shouldn't have come today! I wasn't ready!"
Anna's father was really worrying this time. As he cleaned up the blood and cuts on his daughter, he asked, "Anna, who is Caticorn?"
"He's the one in my dreams. He's the one everybody is scared of. He rules Caticornia but rules everything baldy. He comes to me when I did something wrong, but I didn't do anything wrong this time." Anna replied. Mark could tell his daughter wasn't kidding around. Her eyes were huge with fear, and she was shaking uncontrollably.
"We've got to get you to a hospital, right now." Mark said as he picked Anna up from the counter and carried her to the front door. He put on his coat, grabbed his daughter by the hand and rushed out the door, towards the car. Anna's father opened the back seat door and beckoned Anna to get in, and she climbed onto the seat. As Anna struggled with her belt, her father jumped in the driver's seat and the car started up with a rough noise.
They skidded out of the driveway, dotted with weeds growing through the pavement cracks. As Anna's father drove in the direction of the closest hospital, he asked, "Anna, what happened?"
Anna from the back seat trembled and said, "I... I don't know daddy. I can't remember anymore."
Mark knew it wasn't the best time to ask questions, after she had been through what looked like hell. His job at that moment was to get his daughter in the safe and knowledgable hands of the hospital staff.
The rest of the ride was silent, but an edgy feeling drifted in the air the whole time. Anna looked out the window and quietly said to herself, so quite nobody could hear, "Why? What did I do now? Why do you scare us?" She watched as trees and buildings she had rarely seen before spun in and out of view.
Soon, Anna and her father pulled into the hopsital grounds, and Mark jumped out of his seat, came around the car and opened up Anna's door.
"Come quickly now, dear." Her father said to Anna as he took her by the hand and lead her to the big building's main entrance doors.
