Chapter 1
2035. You would think that the world was peaceful before the lab was created. Nature had more land to run and eat in. Less pollution in the air. Well you guessed wrong, the forests would shrink a bit each weak and it was harder to find a place to live for nature. There where only a few places for nature to live.Right on the the edge of the forest, lived a wolf pack call 'The Silver Keepers". The pack was small, because many have left, because they were scared of how close to the city they were.
There were only four adults and a 5 year old pup. The pup was named 'Echo'.
_____________________'Mom, I'm hungry when can we get food?' I asked Sky. "Timber is looking for food as we speak, it might just take a bit," replied Sky. I could tell in moms eyes that she was worrying.
I was getting weak from hunger and decided to to take a small nap. I walked slowly over to Ari , he was laying down trying to rest, and asked if I could nap with him. Ari accepted and made room for me to sleep with him.
I walked over and slunk down against Arises furry stomach. Ari didnt say anything else and just kept quiet the whole time. It was the middle of the day and the sky was covered by dense clouds which made it easier to sleep, because the sun wasn't shineing in my face. I fell asleep easily as I watched the tree branches swaying in the wind, trying to forget the hunger.
The branches slowly swayed me to a deep sleep than a nap. I dreamed about a green field filled with many creatures running happily through the grass.
I smiled which a first in a while. I ran happily and tried to catch a small white rabbit. I wasn't going to let this one get away. I followed it, not paying attention of where I was going.
I just kept my eye on the rabbit, it ran slower and slower, because it seemed that I was never going to loose energy, when it eventually gave up. I ran over to it and quickly stuck my sharp teeth into its neck, hoping to taste the sweetness of the rabbits blood.
But instead I tasted nothing, not even any other taste, even thought I bite some of its neck off. I spat it out, scared that something was wrong. As I did, I looked up to find myself in a dark and dense forest. 'I didn't run alot, so the meadow has to be close.' I thought to myself.
I looked around hopping to find the meadow through I few trees, but couldn't find it. I didn't know how to get back or even how I got here.
A loud howl made my heart jump tremendously. I turned around to find my eyes captured in the eyes of another wolf. It came from a wolf with blood red eyes, bright white fur, and long, stong legs. It was only a few trees away. It ran towards me and as it got closer, I heard something or someone talking. I couldn't tell what they were saying. It sounded very blocked out.
It came closer. I was terrified and just stood there. My heart rythmm grew faster. My mind was telling me to run, but my body disobeyed. When it came close enough, it jumped at me with its sharp claws, I tryed to run, but the wolf was too quick and my mind was too slow. When it jumped I knew I was going to never see the light again for some reason, so I prepared myself for the worst, but I didn't feel a thing.
I was woken up by Ari, nudging my small body, with his snout. He was yelling at me to get up. My vision was a bit blurry and I was sleepily trying to get up. A loud howl came from the thick forest, a bit away, the same from the wolf in my dream.
I stood up confused as everyone ran in the direction of the howl and were yelling at me to follow. They disappeared before I could catch up.
I got from my spot and dashed into the forest. My felt weak from just getting up, but i forced myself to keep moveing. I was very confused why everyone left in such a hurry, and that they left me.
My stomach was growling very loud, but I also felt pretty queasy. I have never been left alone, so this made me really uneasy.
I kept thinking of why they left, as I ran through the moist forest, trying to catch up. I pushed myself to run further until my lungs felt like they were going to burst. I ran slower until it was a jog, then a walk, and until I finally I stoped.
I haven't ran far from our spot, the hunger must have slowed me down alot. All my mind was thinking about, was to get food, even though I tried hard to push that thought away.
I was about to give up and try to head back to our spot, when a whiff of fresh meat caught my nose.
