Chapter 5

The night has started to fall, the malhotra clan was busy in preparing for the meet, the covens meet. The meet where vampires meets, discuss the issues and keeping check on other vampires, killing deranged vampires and most importantly how many new are made. Nandini being the younger of malhotra clan has no right to refuse the meeting, therefore she has to attend it as soon as possible but now being the vampiress head by being Manik's side, she can refuse to go to meets sometimes but this times its important as she is going to develop her new powers and will have to show them to coven members to check if they are fine or are going to turn her into a deranged vampire.

Mukti doesn't like coven meets at all as she says she doesn't have any right there, all she is supposed to do is listen, right or wrong doesn't matter. Nandini is the vampires head yet she is supposed to do the same, no women empowerment, no rules for them, are they just servants. But today Mukti wants to go to the meet too as, Manik is going to introduce rules for women, finally vampires are making progress, and whatever the king of coven, the head, Manik or father decides is what we have to accept. There is no democracy.

As they all got ready for the meet, all black, women's with mask and long skirts with black tucked in shirt, a blazer with black colour and no skin show at all. Men's in black shirt and pants with a black hood, long trailed some. Manik and nandini sat beside the father and mother seats and Cabir and navya after them. They all spoke some insignificant words and suddenly the whole hall filled with the eerie darkness, no breathing sound but the hall was full of people. All heads bowed to the father and mother and next to the lines too.

"welcome sons and daughters. Today we are going to draw some new rules as for the society of vampires but before that we would like to know about new mates and new turn." father of coven spoke and soon all new mates came in front and curtsied to them and taking the blood oath. Vampire marriage are easy and simple but they bound the souls, never to get separated, they don't or can't go cheating on other as then they will feel immense pain while doing that. All it takes is a golden cup with blood of father mother and the mates and they drink after speaking the vows, then the real ritual starts when all other vampires starts speaking the spells, combines the soul of their darkest sides and human sides to feel all emotions of the other. Pain will cause other to feel pain too. Hurt, sad, happy, loved all emotions will be felt by both. A vampire mate can't be separated after mating.

After all mates completed the rituals, they went back to their seats.

"congratulations to all of you, and now the new turned ones should come and start introducing themselves with their kins and sires."

Soon the masters came with the one they turned, a new ones and explained why they did that. Navya having powers to see what kind of vampire will they turn into spoke about some going to be deranged ones and that tensed all others and Manik went to the one with forecast of deranged and killed with bare hands in seconds. No one cried, no emotions, only one did who was also a younger one but then she too had to control her emotions. Nandini behaved like nothing happened but Manik felt misery yet he couldn't console her because that's how it was supposed to be and it won't change.

Then started the part of introducing new rules. One of them was that women's or vampiress has all right to deny the Vampire if she doesn't wish to be his mate, which most female vampires accepted and male vampires too accepted and some had problems too who were killed by Cabir and Manik for showing disrespect to their master, to their father. Then finally the meet ended. No food, no snacks at vampires do not do that, they do hunt, game of pray and predators, lion and the lamb. Nandini suddenly felt pain in all her body which stopped the leaving coven members and they felt the power gush in them, suddenly nandini flew up in air and spoke in deep voice, the power to tell future is bestowed to her. "the real culprit of the beginning is alive, soon all wrongs will be right, the shadow of nights will have a downfall, creature of light will come back to life and no dark shall win over light."

Manik and other were shocked to see nandini falling suddenly and Manik went to catch her but his hands burned from the fierce heat that  while doing so. They healed as soon as they burned but the powers of nandini and the words spoken depressed the whole coven and soon they all went back to where the came from.
