Layla's Story

chapter 2

I made my way out the door and started to walk towards the forest.

When I got there I looked for the beam of bright light, nothing. Soon I was about to give up and go home until I heard my moms voice, "Layla" she said a few times now "go north" she said before her voice began to fade into quietness. I took my mother's advice but as I was going north, I seen a man in black with a mask on, he had a knife as well. I drew closer pulling out my pocket knife. Closer and closer I came until I realised, HE HAD A LITTLE GIRL WITH HIM! She spotted me and mouthed *help me*. I ran towards the man and he soon looked at me when I grabbed his arm. He got loose of my grip and pulled his knife up ready to stab me! Luckily I had dodged it and punched him hard in the chin! "K.O.!" Shouted the little girl, I laughed and told her to turn around, as she did. 'I'm gonna make sure she's safe from this man now' I thought to myself as I took his knife and stabbed him in the chest a few times. The little girl turned back to me and said "can you please take me home? I don't wanna get kidnapped again" she asked pleadingly as I nodded. "Where do you live?" I asked her "Mercy Street" she replied. I had noticed a cut on her leg and asked "did he do that to you?" "Yes" she replied, with that I picked her up and she guided me to her house. "ALLY!?" I heard someone scream "THATS MOMMYS VOICE!" she shouted to me. I started to run with Ally in my arms towards her house. "MOMMY!" Ally said happily "Ally YOUR OK! THANK HEAVANS!!! wait who are you?" She looked at me "I'm Layla" I replied "you are the one who kidnapped her in the first place aren't you!?" She said angry and looking like she would kill me if I said yes! "Mommy this girl saved me from a scary man in the forest! Don't be mad at her" Ally said. Amber's mother began to tear up "thank you so much Layla" she said with tears running down her face. I said "your welcome" to her and said "I have to go now goodbye" "bye..." They both said at the same time. I ran off back into the woods and went the way I had before.

It was getting dark and the moon shone above me although it was not full I still had to find the book! As it got darker and darker, there it was! The beam was really close! I ran towards it and sure enough there wads the book on a stone pillar.

I took the key off my necklace and put it in the book. It opened and the book is mine! Another note fell out, it read:

Dear, Layla Jordans

Layla you have found it!
But time is short on the next full moon repeat the words I have told you:

Third person POV

Layla grabbed the book and her key and ran straight home.

"Where have you been young lady?" Asked James "the forest" Said Layla "where did that book come from?" Asked James "the library, I was at the library" replied Layla "well ok, but its 11:58pm so go to sleep school tomorrow!" Demanded James "ok" said Layla before leaving the living room to her bedroom.
