The Adventures of Life
Chapter One – Penny the Reject.
Once upon a time, in the land on noodles lived a very lonely girl named Penny. Penny was an extremely unattractive young girl. Her ginger hair was a frizzy mess, and her bobbles didn’t match her jumper. She had a freckled acne face, and a horrible complexion and was reminded people of a hippo. She liked to wear a knitted, yellow bobble jumper and big pants like M.C Hammer.
“GET UP HIPPO!” yelled Poly, Penny’s brother.
“No, I am too ugly to get out of bed” Penny cried.
“I know your ugly” Army, Penny’s moderately attractive sister snorted. “You think I like being related to an ugly biatch like you?”
“So I will not be attending school then” Penny decided.
“GET OUT OF BED HIPPO!” yelled Army and Poly.
“Fine!” Penny surrendered, and pulled her rug off her face.
Her brother and sister gasped, and fainted at the sight of their hideous sister before them. Penny just sighed, as she was used to it.
As Penny trudged through the front gates to her school, she noticed the happy faces turn to looks of disgust as they looked at her.
“Ew, is it a full moon tonight?” yelled Lavender, a pretty girl from the same year.
“Ew, who dressed a hippo in our uniform?” asked Maria, an astonishingly pretty girl adjusting the wombat brooch on her dress pocket.
Penny moved on, not wanting to see any more of their crew, and wanting to see her own friends, Harret and Losh.
No one could believe that Penny actually had friends, because she was just too ugly. But Harret and Losh were both nerds, and apart from their non-ugliness fit quite well with Penny.
As Penny approached an oak tree, she noticed Alex standing with a group of boys near it. Among them was Alex, a pure sexy hunk who Penny had been interested in for quite a while.
“Hey….” Penny began, just as a boy stepped in front of her.
“Hey Penny!” he said excitedly.
“Hi Linguinie” she said sadly.
“What are you up too?” he asked.
“I was just looking at him” Penny sighed, pointing at Alex.
“What, Alex is a tool why would you want to look at him?” Linguinie asked.
“Cos he’s so hot” Penny sighed, love struck.
“No. He’s ew” Linguinie said.
“I wish I could have the courage to ask him out” Penny sighed, thinking of her hippo and moonfaced appearance.
“He’s a tool if he says no, you could get any guy” Linguinie said.
“REALLY!?” Penny yelled. “I’m gonna do it then!”
Linguinie sighed as Penny hitched her Dora the Explorer bag higher up her shoulder and started over to Alex.
“Hey Alex” Penny gushed.
Alex’s friends turned their nose up at Penny’s pure ugliness and began to laugh.
“Hi….Pauly is it?” Alex asked, awkwardly rubbing his neck.
“No its Penny” Penny said shyly. “But you can call me whatever you want.”
This was Penny’s failed attempt at flirting.
“No, Penny’s fine” Alex said quickly as more howls of laughter escaped his wolf pack, including the leader Daehflow.
“Well I was wondering….” Penny began.
Dead silence fell all over the Alex’s pack.
“Do you wanna go out sometime?” Penny asked.
Alex looked as though he was trying to hold back a laugh, but his eyes simply watered and after a few minutes he replied.
“Wait, are you being serious?” he asked, letting a huge gust of laughter out.
“Yes” Penny said, her face swelling with redness.
“Um, no” Alex said, breaking down in laughter.
Penny broke down in tears and ran away, tripping over and face planting in dirt on the way to her locker.
“Whats wrong Penny?” asked Harret, who was standing outside her locker.
“I asked Alex out” Penny sobbed.
“REALLY!” Losh, another one of Penny’s friends said.
“Yeh” Penny said.
“He said no right?” Harret asked.
“YES!” Penny yelled with anger.
“Oh, sorry” Harret said.
“Why are you covered in mud?” Losh asked.
“I tripped” Penny said, letting out a howl of tears.
“Oh” Harret and Losh said, smirks on their faces.
“FOREVER ALONE” yelled a voice nearby.
Penny turned just to see Ruby and Daehflow walking my hand in hand, and burst into sobs again.
“Well” Losh said, rubbing her ginormic head. “How about we talk about it?”
“I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT I WANT TO DIE!” Penny screamed.
With that Penny turned on her heels and ran away.
