Ava POV
As we got into downtown London, I noticed how drastically things had changed. But, when we pulled up & parked in the back parking lot of what was to be my coffee shop. I did a double take. I was ecstatic! It was really nice & elegant. Gail looked over from her seat in the car at the expression on my face "Get used to it and quick, because that bitch Darla and Brittany have made sure that your father put them in a life of luxury."
"I know you should've had this kind of life all along. But Ava, your mother wanted a better life for you. She loved you so much that she didn't want the mafia life around Darla get the best of you. Now, with tears in her eyes she continues "This is just the beginning of some of the stuff she left in that box for you. Now, we just need to do the right things that make you happy and get your shop together for your future. So, when this is all said and done with Darla, you can get on with you life."
"Hopefully with Jax" she adds.
Nodding my head in understanding, I wiped the tears from my eyes and put the hood up from my hoodie as we unbuckled our seatbelts and got out of the car.
Walking up to two doors, Gail handed me the keys.
"One leads to the apartment & the other to the shop"
Unlocking the back door to the shop. The first thing I saw after stepping in was a nice small elegant kitchen where you could make cold cut foods and an oven for some pastries. It's seems to already be furnished, so we shouldn't need to much in here.
After walking through the kitchen we went out into the main part of the shop behind the register to look around. It seemed to be furnished in here as well. There are a variety Coffee machines lined up against the wall. Tables & chairs in various places around the windows & restrooms in the back corner.
Walking around the counter looking out the window. I could see a building across the street. That probably belonged to Jax. Just thinking about him or Jake maybe being over there close, had my heart pounding. I wish I could go over there. But, I know I couldn't. It's just not the right time.
So, turning away from the window. Gail & I decided to go take a look at the apartment. Once I locked the shop up, I unlocked the apartment door that led up a flight of stairs to another door. After unlocking that door we walked into see the apartment was unfurnished with white walls, and a wooden floor in the living room. Walking past the living room, I glanced to the left to see a bathroom. Then going in the kitchen that had a window view, and a few of the best updated appliances I had ever seen. It just needed the basic things like cups, plates, food, and a table. Wondering about the bedroom, I went there next. Looking around I saw a plushy carpet, a walk-in closet and a window. Going over to have a look out. I saw it gives a great view of the entrance to Jax's club across the street.
Wow, that will come in handy!
" So, what do you think?!" Gail asked, interrupting my thoughts.
"I love it!" I tell her " It's so... me!"
"Great! Let's go home & have a bite to eat, then tomorrow we can do shopping."
" That sounds great! Let's go" I said, as we headed back to the door to lock up.
