"Danielle Richie?" my teacher Ms.Johnson calls across the room.

Danielle Richie
17 years old
Brown hair
Motto:
"What's the point of fake leather? It only makes you look worse."

I, Danielle Richie, of course flash my bright freshly bleached teeth in her direction and get up, doing my Tyra banks all the way to her desk. "Yes?" I ask.

"You'll be doing France, good luck on your assignment." she says as she hands me my flag.

"Thank you, nice earings by the way!" I say as I glance at her obviously fake diamond earings. I grimace, knowing she'll have the worst rash ever by morning. But hey, in n a good mood!

I take the flag and head back over to my table.

We've been looking forward to this assignment forever.

By we, I mean my gals Tabatha and Kaila. Perfectly selected from the start of 9th grade to be my friends, because otherwise.. Anyone else would look like trash next to me.

I don't want that for them, you know?

So, these girls suit me.

Tabatha, head of the cheerleading squad and definitely the one to hang out with. She can call shots too, one time she got the whole school to vote for me when I ran for student council by just telling them that they should.

Tabatha
17 years old
Red hair
Motto:
"I'm sorry, I don't feel bad."

"Ooh, can we change it to a pink flag? Y'all know I love pink." Tabatha says as she claps her hands.

"No, it's gotta stay the way it is. Duh." Kaila says as she rolls her eyes.

Kaila, captain of the dance crew here at Fair mount high. She's more in the background but if you get you get on her bad side, things could get ugly.

Kaila
18 years old
Bleach blonde hair
Motto:
"You're irrelevant."

"We could use pink glitter paint on the poster but the flag has to stay the same." I say as I tap my baby blue colored nails on the table, covered with diamonds and heels of all sorts.

When all of a sudden.

"Mary Fern." the teacher says.
"Yeah?" she says as she gets up walking up to her desk, taking the time to wave and smile at us before she gets there. We wave and smile back before looking at each other and laughing quietly.

"Mary Fern." I say as the words scrape the life out of my tongue. "I can't stand that fake gucci bag wearing slut."

Kaila rolls her eyes and points a perfectly manicured nail at Mary's bag. "I've seen those before. They're one of those bags you can iron labels on." she says laughing.

"Girl, she's wearing fake diamonds. That fucking green stain is already popping up around her neck." Tabatha says as she claps her hands laughing, sticking her tongue out as she occasionally does when she laughs.

I smile as Mary turns around looking at us, she smiles again and so do we as she sits down. But she doesn't just sit anywhere, she sits with us. Right next to us.

Kaila grimaces and exchanges glances with Tabatha and I before piping up. "What are you doing?" she says as she folds her hands across her lap.

"Oh I was just.." she says but doesn't get to finish.

"Just what?" Kaila asks.

I pipe up. "Hey, we can let her stay. She seems, edgy." I say as I look at her smiling but I don't waste any time to glance at my friends. "Right girls?" I ask smirking.

Kaila and Tabatha smile. "Aye, yeah. She seem cool." they say as they both get up to head to the back of the room, where cans of paint happened to be located to help us with our projects.

I chatted the girl up, pretending that I really cared what she was talking about. I would say "yeah" and "oh, that's fab." every now and then although I was fighting back the urge to pick up my phone and scroll through my Instagram feed.

Kaila and Tabatha snap open a can of paint and walk over behind the girl, I casually smile at her. "So, what's it like being edgy?" I say as I fight back a smirk that's trying to claw it's way onto my face.

She smiles. "It's cool. I mean I guess."

"Well, Tabatha, Kaila, and I want to add to your look you have going on." I say slyly..

"Oh really, how?" she asks.

"Like this." I say as the paint in Tabatha and Kaila's hands splashes all over her, the blue paint covering her clothes, hair, and face.

She screams fluttering her arms as she gets up and ruins it of the classroom. The teacher glances over at us and frowns, "What happened this time?" she asks.

I shrug before looking at Tabatha and Kaila, who automatically take over. "It was an accident." they say looking down, I can still see the smirks on their faces.

"Go get some paper towels and clean this up." she says before shooing us out of the classroom.

We nod and head out of the classroom, halfway down the hall we start laughing our asses off as all chant:

"You can't sit with us!!"

As we walk down the hall, I see the girl.. Even through I can't stand her.. I start to feel something deep down in my heart tugging my emotions to the surface but I quickly turn and continue with my friends after catching a glimpse of her face, covered in tears.
